TCL plans to make its original content shoppable and have AI-generated “characters in our shows that can be brand ambassadors and influencers for advertisers.”

    🤦

i hope this stands as a lesson to the industry as to why you don’t go all in with generative AI

not that it will, though. if anything, we’ll have another 100 of these shows in 6 months at least

That was the worst looking trailer for a broadcast network tv show I’ve ever seen…

Wtf is up with those blinks… God I hate everything about this.

I hate to say it - truly - but when I read how they want to muscle in on the Hallmark niche, I realized that this will likely work for a meaningful segment of people

“The trailer looks like what might happen if The Hallmark Channel just stopped trying.”

    Wait, what, they are trying?!

Needing to do the very basic required to make a movie, before you could just write and AI prompt, does not mean they are actually trying.

Jesus; I had to nope out of that trailer after like 10 seconds. It’s just too god damned creepy. Some uncanny valley lookin shit right there. It’s even creepier than “The Polar Express”. They actually paid money to produce this bullshit?
