But this is drinking in groups with the cats! Also I can’t speak for sure, but as a woman it would be a draw for me, so I would imagine there might be more women present than at other pubs. Of course, they may be paying more attention to the cats than the men. But petting the cats can be a conversation starter and a way to demonstrate what kind of human being you are.

(Edit: I realize I’m assuming a Lemmyite is male even though I’m not.)(Edit edit: the above would also apply if one were a woman or enby who wants to meet women who like cats)

If one prefers to remain at home with one’s special cat, at least the cats would mitigate if one had to meet at the pub for social/professional reasons.

You’re not wrong. I was, however, just making a joke. I’m up voting your earnestness.

You don’t understand. I already have the best possible companion at home, I don’t need the group!

Pub owner knows how to get the cats to sit – random cardboard box lids haha

Can’t believe that glass at the bottom of the photo has survived being on the counter without a cat pawing it off.

I’m from Bristol! This pub is called the Bag Of Nails, and while some people aren’t fans (the place naturally smells of cats and you’re not getting food there) I love going there for a drink and to spend time with some friendly cats. It’s always fairly busy, and is a nice talking point when I head for a beer with people that aren’t from the area.

The picture is from the Bag O Nails pub on St George Road, in case you wanted to visit. (or see more photos from whatever social media)

I’m guessing anyone patronizing a pub that is crawling with cats has already been exposed to toxoplasmosis, to be fair.
