So its not immediately making it into training data, that takes a while and there’s numerous filters to try to prevent this from happening. You can still do it but you or me are not going to do that.

What we can kind of do is if enough people agree to make nonsensical posts on reddit for example the ai will pick it up as fact. It doesnt always work, you kind of have to pick a unique sentence or they will try to autocorrect you and say “oh did you mean this event?” But it has been done before and any llm that uses the internet to search for info easily gets tricked by this. This is what Israel was doing, but they have numerous ai news outlets that generate fake articles that all say the same thing, and bots similar sentiments on social media platforms.

Also the gaurd rails you are refering to are just seperate lesser llm that scans your chat before it passes it to the main model. But much like the main model you can trick the filter into bypassing whatever gaurdrails by just rewording your sentence or asking it to pretend its a game. You seem to be conflating this with intelligence or like the LLM is improving. Those guard rails will be tweaked when money is finally needed because money is always more important over saftey. And there are no laws to prevent them from doing otherwise only public backlash. The model itself isn’t safe.

So from what I gathered is the longer a LLM interacts with people and gets things wrong the more often it has chances to learn misinformation, is the crux of your point? Your example you used slipknot and a llm getting confused with ship related information, and then that getting flagged as an appropriate response to the user and being further cemented into training data?

But I think most of what you guys are refering to came from ww1/2 with encryption machines. The US essentially put back doors in them. What you are failing to understand though is these companies don’t have your interest in heart. So imagine if your therapists only metric for success was time you spent on the app. Engagement. We dont fully know what cause the blockage, it could be litter, stress, food, etc.

The vet never told us specifically what could of caused it because she had no way to know. We assumed it was the meat snacks we gave him because that was one of the few variables that made sense to us that the vet listed. Could of even been the food brands we where feeding him at the time, could be the dusty litter.

Regardless we didn’t risk any variable and changed to his prescription diet, the litter, and the works and we havent had a issue sense. I still think it was the meat but honestly could of been the liter, or various other things. Certainly not going to start testing to prove my hypothesis.

Also he’s 5-6 years old with 4 of those years with us. From those years before the bladder blockage yeah I would say he was a normal healthy cat with no issues before that. Most of the time you don’t get a cat with preexisting conditions, you just end up with a cat and you presume its healthy until proven otherwise. He could of had this before but it took a long time for the issue to surface.

Its more common than I thought. The vet said it effects 1/10 male cats, and more and more it seems to be a issue these days. Our vet says its the cat food everyone gets these days doesnt help.

Listen man I just don’t want someone to feel like I did. We had to drive 2 hours at mid night to the nearest emergency vet and they had to keep him there for two days. I had to do sidejobs every weekend to pay off the bill. Thankfully they didn’t start charging interest until maybe a year after and we got it payed off before that no problem.

What makes it worse is cats dont show pain. My wife did not seemed concerned what so ever that he wouldnt get out of bed for the whole day, and was really dismissive when I pointed out he acts like he doesnt want to sit down or lay down. It wasn’t until I googled the symptoms said its deadly before she decided maybe it was serious. I just dont think most people “get” cats, or are expecting them to communicate to you like a dog.

I seen my cat in intense pain and almost die, I am almost slightly offended you would call me a hater for trying to warn another person of what could happen. Also I don’t like using tire inflators, you get a cheap 12v one and you burn out the motor trying to inflate all 4 tires at once. Its good to keep in the car for an emergency but it can’t be good for some of the smaller portable ones.

Its just so nice to have compressed air even if you don’t plan on using air impact tools. And just having the compressor opens you up to a whole new world of tools not even car related. Sand blasting, spray painting, roofing, framing. Mine also doesnt have enough cfm to do air wrenches but I still love the thing.

I still think it was a big mistake to bail out the auto makers. Don’t get a car or truck past 2013. Honestly peak cars IMO all existed around 90s-2006. Some good hits in the 80’s too but you’re prob not going to daily something that old. You all are going to want to learn how to work on your own car. If you don’t have the tools and a shop it sucks a bit more and is sketchy sometimes, try to make a car friend or have people to ping off of. You can rent a lot of the tools too but I would insist on buying if its not like 300 bucks all at once. You want a good air compressor, a 12v battery charger/tester, a standard craftsman set, some ramp blocks/jacks, and the basic hand tools and you can do most things just fine.

So much of learning how to fix a car is kind of just having to fix it. I’ve only had 4 cars ive had to fix and daily drive sense ive started trying. And I came from practically no knowledge. YouTube surprisingly has had every single fix I needed for my exact model, and I would just google my problems and end up on forums from literally 2008 with the exact same problem and it was ususally solved. Most of the time its just replacing sensors, replacing gaskets, changing fluids or cat converter. Sometimes it doesnt fix it, so you just replace the next suspected thing.
