They never saw another penny from me. I started donating to fan translations groups and just using machine translations.

I forget the stupid name but webtoon.com got into web novels and it was the absolute worst experience. The translation was fine but slow, extremely expensive and loaded with DRM. If I “unlock” something to read I’d like to download a copy.

The one time I want to Walmart and did self check out I went quick like at the grocer. It scanned the item and the weight sensor couldn’t keep up and I got locked out.

When the employee came he barely glanced at the register as he unlocked it and left but I saw it playback a top down view of the register along with my face shot.

1. Buy less snacks. Say no once at the grocer instead of every day.
2. If you do have some then they stay in the kitchen. You serve yourself the serving size. Leave the kitchen and eat the cookie. Easier to say no to getting another.

I walked into Walmart for the first time in years to return the shitty thing I bought.

The cashier at returns mentioned thier app makes returns easy as I flip through photos of receipts on my phone.

“I’m sure it does but I don’t install non critical apps. I don’t need Walmart looking at my phone, tracking me or pushing notifications”

She just shrugged.
