Exactly !! I’m not that old but I had a time shifted childhood in the middle of nowhere with no internet. Basically for me I grew up in the later 80s. So thats why it probably feels wrong to me.

For me, I feel we peaked in 2012, especially tech wise. Maybe even earlier actually. Before we could all be completely controlled because of tech advance, but we had enough tech to be fun and useful. Nothing is cool anymore. The only cool tech to me is pre 2010, save for some FPGA stuff.

The fact kids think DVDs are old is baffling to me. I use CDs and DVDs every day. Its just weird to me how they grew up completely glued to corporate social media and a little rectangle. Only consuming. Its pretty sick really. They can’t even use a desktop, and at least a desktop facilitates some form of creation and anticorporate freedom.

Just like all the normies obsessed with their phones when they know nothing of tech. They dont know a single setting on their phone. They dont know how networks work. Basic information is completely alien to them.

My whole life, anything ive used, ive learned about it and how it works. Cars. Houses. Computers. Networks. Politics. Because people should know the shit they deal with every day!

I mean, it wasnt uncommon that normal families just did this as well , thats why many of us always had good listening setups in the living room.
