3·3 days agoI don’t really mind culture shock, unless that shock is a sanitary one, but i won’t be and will never be ready to left home for that long because i will either think of my work or my home or my cats.

1·6 days agoDang, sounds like i might actually have issue with it since i lie down and game, if it’s too bulky then it might be painful after an hour.
Don’t worry, my time and mental load is too limited for me to game everywhere lol. I just wanna lie down and game maybe for an hour or so.
I have ps1 emulator in my phone and been playing it the past week or so, did not realise that’s the thing i need in my life. I love my N3ds but it’s so bulky and the button placement is so weird it hurt even my small hand. Might get a steam deck as a gaming device next instead of a new pc.
Kinda mean you’re entering the phase where you would drop persona and get something like euro truck simulator.

Funny that i’m chinese and living in asia as well and i support that. Western folks have a weird sense of justice that they want to protect everyone, to a point i feels like they’re seeing us as a lesser kind that need protection.

4·10 days agoI think the way they talk and pronounce the word is different and that’s how i differentiate them even when i don’t know a word from both language.
I speak 3 languages daily and as for my case it’s only when i speak it’s tough to remember the word of that language i want if the code switch isn’t quite “right” so sometimes a word or two from another language will seep through. Never get confuse on what language is spoken by others though
In an alternate universe where Britain didn’t went and colonise countries, US is so weak they got wrecked and conquered by Japan in ww2, and China become a democratic country at the end of ww2, then yeah i guess i wouldn’t mind because it didn’t matter.
In current universe? None of that will happen, even if a political party suddenly campaign against CCP and CCP suddenly got voted out next election. English doesn’t became a lingua franca overnight.
