Make music, write terrible sci-fi, and publish economics research (assuming we haven’t reached post-scarcity yet).
Basically I’d have time to actually dedicate myself to my hobbies.

I just don’t bookmark anything I don’t read straight away. If I want to read it that badly I’ll search for it again.
I just want to remove podcasts and audiobooks from my homepage.
I would say same standard of living but the difference is they had a kid and my wife and I don’t. We simply could not have the same lifestyle if we had children.
Didn’t realise it was also a D&D and Political alignment test
Railway signalling and interlocking systems. Sure ETCS and other digital systems are far safer, but some dude at a junction used to manually reset the points and crossovers using a giant lever. Now everything’s just a digital system overseen by someone with 8+ monitors in a control room removed from the actual network.
Also, not a technology, but rally cars used to be fully unhinged. I could watch old Group B videos for hours and never get bored.
Yup, you’ve got everything from chilled liquid, to pop-like anthems, to full on neuro and dark step. Love it.

Came here to say exactly this.
If you want to dive even further into why the foundations of modern macroeconomics are bunk, then I can also recommend reading Debunking Economics by Steve Keen.
I’m also a life long halo fan. However I came to terms a long time ago with the fact that the media I love will change over time.
Would I prefer that Star Wars had stuck to Admiral Thrawn being the big bad post Return of the Jedi? Absolutely, but I didn’t throw a fit when the sequel trilogy retconned all the books I read in the 90s. I was more happy to get new media after so long and despite the movies being awful we at least got some decent side projects like Andor and Rogue One.
Edit: Sorry, to be clear, I’m not saying you are throwing a fit, I just remember all the toxic wailing and nashing of teeth on the Halo subreddit. The first season was bad television regardless of whether it was Halo or not.
Bit of a shame as I thought the 2nd season redeemed itself. Fall of Reach was well done.
I play D4, Last Epoch and PoE.
I enjoyed the D4 story for my first play through and the recent changes for season 4 have made levelling to endgame much more enjoyable. It is much simpler than PoE and I play it knowing that as something fun that I can pick up and put down at will.
Last Epoch I’m playing to try out each mastery. Even though it’s now a 1.0 release it’s still a bit barebones. Give it a couple of cycles and it’ll be more fleshed out especially in the endgame. I think of it as a middle ground between the simplicity of D4 and complexity of PoE. I like that I can easily try off meta builds through passive refunds and make my own builds.
PoE scratches the D2 itch for grinding. I’m an addict who like spreadsheets.
They wish they could be our western island.
Same. Unlike Reddit there’s not too much content to stay on top of it. It’s nice.
Guessing someone else saw Taskmaster Champion of Champions.
I’d train them to flail nunchucks around me at all times. How else do you deal with aggressively slow walkers?
Velocity Weapon and the other two books in the The Protectorate series by Megan E. O’Keefe.
Easy reading space opera.
Guns ‘N Roses - Welcome to the Jungle. I don’t like GNR full stop, but the radio station I used to wake up to on the alarm clock would play that song at exactly the same time everyday.
Couldn’t understand why I used to wake up angry every morning until I changed stations.
