    “highly valued and important” and “deserving of reverence and respect” are among the definitions of “sacred” in Merriam-Webster. It’s a word often connected with religion but it doesn’t have to be.

      Idk, I still feel like it’s a bit much. But I suppose that’s a whole lot better than the opposite.

        They might also mean “deserving to be protected from harm” like a sacred cow, although 1. That term is usually used ironically, and 2. Plenty of assholes think it’s fine to harm trans people. But it’s well-intentioned.
