Brother laser printers, higher upfront cost but I don’t think I’ll ever need another. I don’t print frequently so inkjet carts dry up, toner doesn’t have that issue, toner also lasts longer, whenever I have to replace it I’m pretty sure they have 3rd party carts, and they don’t do any subscription bullshit or planned obsolescence so far that I’ve seen. Easy to set up on linux through CUPS and the official brother .rpm or .deb drivers. Cannot recommend them enough as someone who also hates all other printers.

I love mine but I’ve noticed some of these same issues, the spacers aren’t perfect and it does get hot as hell while charging. I only have the integrated graphics though I didn’t get the extra. My fans haven’t ever gotten loud, at first I was concerned they weren’t running, and I’ll have to look into the veribrightness thing, idk about all that. I really don’t mind the spacers though, I got the numpad so I only have the bottom ones and the only issue is looks, idgaf.

Dude don’t trash it, give it to some kid that may appreciate it, or sell/donate it to a thrift store at the very least. It may not be the best guitar but it’s in fine shape, and you could change the life of some kid too poor to afford his own.

That said, chords are easier than arpeggios, idk what kind of music you’re into but I’d start (well, “start” with learning the chords, then) with something like Pink Floyd’s Wish You Were Here or The Penguins Earth Angel (for example.)

Tbf, being a melting pot also means all those cultures impact and influence “ours.” Plenty of Americans have bat mitzvahs, for instance, of course they’d be particularly the ones that are Jewish, but plenty of Americans also observe Ramadan. We have a lack of cohesive culture because we’re not just one cohesive “people,” yet we all are under the banner of “American.”

Our country is a melting pot, and so “our culture” is too, made up of pieces immigrants have brought with them from everywhere in the world. I think it’s pretty cool, personally.
