I’ll say it for the millionth time. Every single stance the GOP takes is bad for small businesses, bad for the economy, bad for the country.
Bad for PEOPLE in general.

Ya, that’s NOT a reason not to change to single payer.

Approximately 1-2 million people employed in the mass bureacracy of claims processing and validation would lose their jobs.
Those “same” (number of) people would be needed to process the claims that needed to be approved by the nationwide system that replaced “for profit” healthcare.
Honestly, replacing the C* suite is what IA would be best for!
As PEOPLE they cost an exorbitant amount of money and stock options for exactly ZERO actual physical work.
A group of AI agents, one for each of the C* positions, seeded with business based logic trees and equipped with exactly as much ethics subroutines as the board would allow would do the board bidding for 1/100000 of the cost of a human ceo.

There is no mechanism by which OTA television can surveil you.

I don’t pay for cable.
I get 117 over the air television stations In Chicago, I could get more with a better antenna.
They receive ZERO data about me or my watching habits, no way to steal it.

You can call the cover price on a physical newspaper or magazine a paywall but it’s a bit odd…

You caused a bunch of good discussion, you can be wrong, but it’s not bad to be wrong and learn from it.

OTA tv would no longer be possible, nor radio AM or FM.
Newspapers (what is left of them) would no longer be possible, neither wouild magazines.
A good deal of the internet is supported by ads too.
If you are willing to give up everything that is supported by ads, I suppose it could work.

I got a bullshit warning about harassment on a 5 day old post that said
“Don’t be a jerk to people you don’t know and you won’t have that problem”
Appealed it and got told it it was harassment.
Fuck reddit.
I’m slowly going through my posting history and editing anything useful to the AI training to be nonsense.
Comedy? Futurama (be ready to have your feels tickled)
More serious SF but still funny? The Orville
More more serious SF and not so funny, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
Not at all funny and serious SF (anyone seeing a pattern?) Battlestar Galactica (2003-2009)
Extra credit serious SF, worth every hour, dated graphics and all, Babylon 5 Amazing stories, worth every minute it takes to watch it.
