A law banning Bill Gates gate scandals would be called: Bill Gates gate-gate bill.

That’s all fine and dandy until you get court ordered to attend these meetings as if it were a scientifically proven method of quitting drinking. It’d be like doing something bad and then being court ordered to attend church so that you can “gain a moral compass.”
So costs are out of control, but wages are at an appropriate level? That doesn’t really make much sense logically. The actual values don’t matter as much as the disparity between the two. If the minimum wage were $100/hr, a house costing $400k wouldn’t be an issue. Similarly, if the minimum wage were $2/hr while homes cost $8k, that also wouldn’t be an issue.
So why do we have thousands of people living on the streets in my state that’s been solidly blue for over 40 years? Take your blinders off already because you are engaging in the same behavior as MAGA supporters: blind allegiance.
Huh? I asked a simple question.
Well, where do you think it goes once it’s taxed away at 100%?
Generational wealth is easily tackled by an inheritance tax. If my rights and living wishes as a dead person don’t matter with regard to my property, why should some random stranger be entitled to it either?
You can counteract this with a strict timeframe like 20 or 25 years. If I create something and die a year later, my copyright transfers to whomever and they can hold it for 19 more years. Seems fair all around.
I’d like to see government subsidies instead.
How would that really work in practice though? Would Disney get $100 million for making a movie while I only get $100 for making my own independent movie? It’d be really hard to assign a value to things without the associated system that we currently use.
Are you really trying to take the moral high ground while arguing that the term “idiot” should be revived and solely reserved for people with mental disabilities related to intelligence? JFC this is what happens when you take sniffing your own farts a little too far.
It’s like you want to enshrine the word in its most hateful form rather than allow its meaning to be diluted into something powerless and inconsequential.
Works the same for finding a burned out bulb on a string of Christmas lights too.
I think it’s more nefarious than that. Many departments want a good 'ol boys club where they’re the ultimate authority and they want their officers to fall in line rather than question department actions.
And then you offer them some of your pancakes?
During my research, I discovered that it’s 0.0000002472 Olympic swimming pools, which is probably the reason for the odd number of mL.
Geez I read “took” in the other context and thought you were pretty ballsy and inhumane to brag about taking (stealing) someone’s final paper after they’d been out of school to care for sick relatives.
Is she married to the “ass pennies” guy?
You’ll have to pry it from my cold dead hands!
It also rusts the shit out of cars which is why 3 year old cars from the midwest resemble 30 year old cars from the west coast. I wonder if anyone has ever calculated all the lost capital caused by salting roads. I bet it’s insanely high with the infrastructure and property damage alone.
I’m not afraid of them but I don’t like it.
Can’t tell if you’re referring to the flies or the wife and kids.
I’ll just leave this here: https://www.iheart.com/podcast/105-behind-the-bastards-29236323/episode/part-one-the-not-at-all-sad-history-of-89890804/
