Pop Culture detective is really good. I especially like their video about Fantastic Beasts
I don’t think you’re going to find anyone that admits to smelling bad. I assume people who smell bad do it because they don’t know that they smell, so they don’t try to change anything.
And it also means that if they move another 10ft away from the cleric they will still be 30ft away…

I’m clearly out of the loop. What’s up with YandereDev? I’ve heard his name before but that’s it, what did he do?
🚫 Insulting the intelligence of the recipient by way of apology:
- “I’m sorry for not being more clear”
- “I’m sorry about being so misleading”
How are those insulting? Saying that I should have been more clear means I am the one who messed up by not communicating properly. Something like “sorry that you misunderstood” would be insulting since it places the blame on the recipient’s intelligence.
Yeah my job has that too. That system has a “remember me” button, but it doesn’t work.
Yes I am fully aware of that. My point was that programming is just like any other job unlike what the guy I responded to seems to think.
Sorry I typed this in a hurry. I just disagree with the statement and tried making a joke.
Maybe I’m biased since I recently started working as a software dev, but you don’t need to be really good to get a job as a programmer. I’m evidence of that.
For me it’s the smaller number of users. It is very likely that your comment will just end up at the bottom and nobody will see it if you comment on a reddit post with thousands of comments. If you comment on a Lemmy post with 25 comments or less it is way more likely to actually be seen by people.
Exactly, this is something I see people not talk about as much. Charging for API access is not new and actually reasonable. Handling API calls costs money after all. The issue was the intentionally ridiculous price.
but im probably dreaming too big
No you’re not. You underestimate yourself. There is not “too big” when it comes to having a hobby. You don’t need to prove anything, just do something you enjoy and that makes you feel good about yourself. The difficult part is getting out of the house, not the actual activity. I won’t recommend anything specific here because lots of people in this thread have already, and also the activity does not really matter, only that you do something that engages you.
From what I can tell, the lizard people conspiracy theory was started by David Icke, an antisemite and Holocaust denier. There are lots of conspiracy theories that come from the belief that Jews control the world either through media, some secret society or, in this case, by being shapeshifting lizards. This is just another iteration of the idea that Jews are different from everyone else and are trying to control the world.
Mirror’s edge catalyst is criminally underrated you can’t change my mind
