Crit fails/successes are built into Pathfinder2e, so yeah we use em’
Some of the best stories in all my RPG experiences have come from a crit fails!
The devs don’t give a shit about creating moderation tools to keep fascists out of safe communities and refused to take a Nazi instance off of join-lemmy in their AMA.
Not sure how much longer I’ll be on Lemmy after that tbh
But the memes here are pretty great

I really want to see Peertube flourish but I’m just not sure it’s going to work out. Video streaming platforms are a much different beast than the micro blogs of Mastodon or forums of Lemmy. But, this is a good step in that direction so good luck to them.
Let’s not pretend that all algorithms are the same.
But if we don’t, how can we act superior to people who use algorithm based platforms? /s
*it’s not fun in 5e
Bulk/weight/encumbrance in other systems is handled well and makes it so equipment choices matter more and the players choices have more impact on the game, while not being terribly designed so it feels like a chore (aka 5e)
Yup. When I used to run 5e I made my own homebrew encumbrance system that worked way better then read PF2 rules and got annoyed because this character concept is viable in PF2 and it has an encumbrance system that actually works.
There’s held items, stored items, and worn items. Held and worn can be easily accessed but count against your bulk limit. Stored items (in your backpack) count against your bulk less so you can carry more but take longer to access in battle. So if you’re strong enough you can literally wear your entire weapon arsenal just like this meme since there’s no limit to worn items as long as it’s not above your max bulk lol
(Bulk is an abstracted form of weight that makes encumbrance easier to track)
Alright, PF2 rant done. Seeing your frustrations with 5e bulk reminded me of my own when I still ran that system lol
That’s not what the comment thread was talking about. It wasn’t about removing the instance from running just to stop advertising it on the join-lemmy site and they refused.
Okay, so they do have a line. Nazi’s just don’t cross that line for them. Awesome job, dev team.
Edit: Now downvotes on an anti-nazi comment. Lemmy sure has become a shit place as of late.
I wouldn’t hold your breath, they didn’t even want to remove the Nazi instance in their AMA.
Edit: To the responses, great, it’s gone. Removing that pedo content shows that they’re not too overworked to purge content like that from join-lemmy. So there’s no reason for them not to remove the Nazi instances being advertised on the front page of join-lemmy. We’ll just look the other way on that one I guess.
Why did two people downvote this? That’s exactly what happened. The devs stated they didn’t care much for mod tools at the moment and also stated they wouldn’t remove exploding heads from join-lemmy in another thread in the AMA, which is a whole other level of wtf.
Sorry, I never tested it with Kevin.
I can’t believe you’d do that to Kevin.
Looks like it, thanks for sharing!
Can you link the post? I’m curious to see how that looks on Lemmy
Now give me a medal
Here you go, friend.🏅
For having the most concise, rational take in the thread.
I did, I just messed up and didn’t tell anybody. I’m sorry folks, this is on me.
If it helps, I knew someone who went back to school at 60 for their master’s and got their graduate degree at 64. That’s never too old to learn territory!
To what end? What would that accomplish that defederation from Meta instances can’t already do? Also, why are you targeting the entire Mastodon platform instead of the specific instances that choose not to defederate?
In short, no.
Skill issue.
Edit: Downvote away, it’s not like this suggestion warranted actual meaningful discussion. It’s just somebody who fundamentally doesn’t understand how the fediverse works and thankfully the comments are reflecting that.
Edit: replying in an edit because this post doesn’t deserve more engagement with a new comment.
@orientalsniper: I know how the fediverse works, been promoting it since the APIception.
That’s cool and all but platform promotion does not equal platform understanding. Especially since you’re asking questions like this from Raddle of all places rather than looking at the info on GitHub or any of the documentation linked in instances (at the bottom of the page above the code link). I stand by my statement that OP does not understand how the fediverse works and I’m still happy the comments appropriately flamed this suggestion.
i want to do is as a hobby
So do the thing.
or a goal if possible but im worried i might fail my goal, such as starting a peertube channle.
If your goal is to start a channel, you won’t fail because that’s easy. Just start it and boom you’re done. Goal accomplished.
Now if your goal is to start a “successful” PeerTube channel things get interesting. Mainly, what do you define as successful? Lots of viewers? That’s doable. Profitable? That becomes harder. Sustainable? You could do that imo. Just a place to share your thoughts? You got that. There are more ways to define success but those are just examples.
So the first thing to do is really ask yourself what your goal is for this channel. What do you want it to do or represent?
at the moment i dont have to many goal and i thought peertube might help a little, if that makes sense.
I think it makes sense, but I’ll say be careful not to burn yourself out or get down on yourself if it’s not shaping up how you expected. Especially since you haven’t quite defined what you’re using your channel for.
Good luck OP
There should be an instance of just Freds that’s called the Frediverse. You have to send them ID to prove your name is actually Fred and only Freds are allowed on the instance. I’d follow those communities as a non-Fred.
That goes double for heavy armors like plate which takes upwards of twenty minutes to remove depending on the system you’re using.
