Fan of breaking echo chambers by being devils advocate. Other than that, centrist. As in in USA I’d be considered left.

Poland. It’s not that summer is amazing - it just sucks the least.

It’s hot and everything wants to eat you, but it’s colorful and sunny and summer nights are ahhhhhh…

Autumns tend to be pretty. And rainy as hell. Meh.

Winter was pretty when I was a kid. Nowadays it’s autumn, minus pretty and plus balls freezin off. No snow, fuck you.

Spring is wet and green, but also cold. Good contender against summer, barely loses IMO.

Edit: Additional context - when it gets cloudy and grey in Poland, it gets fucking uber depressing. I dunno what it is, but almost can feel thr grey communist past creepin up…

Older gens I’d say. My mother had afriend who always came in without knockin and just…vibed. Like they suddenly materialised in kitchen and talked while eating or materialised near table and drank coffee.

My partner’s mother had someone like that too.

Meanwhile I am having a meltdown if someone tries the door before knocking (they are always locked anyway)

  • Imma be honest. I know next to nothing about fat folk but…look at her legs. For someone with such a big belly, legs should also be fat af. Hers aren’t. It honestly makes me think this isn’t just an idiot who can’t stop eating but someone with a medical condition. May be wrong but…it’s unsettling.

And I really do have a crude and unempathetic humor so I normally laugh at fat jokes etc. But this ain’t it.

Had a course on linux, can move somewhat fludily in console…well, could, prolly forgot a lot. Dunno about architecture or everything else linux-wise, but that’s something I believe I can pick up during usage. Also thanks for the tip of separating OS drive and Media drive. Seems logical but uh, things happen.

Only thing that bothers me is I have older hardware and this coupled with communities here being overall cautious about Arch distros makes me kinda cautious about Cachy. But it seems like a good choice for my use-case. But I also have everything important backed up anyway so even if I install Cachy and it doesn’t work for me, I will be able to switch efortlessly.

So, my CPU is supported, but my GPU is actually out of spec for recommended. GTX 750. Would you say to try it anyway or is it better to go Nobara due to that?

  • That’s why I am very wary of CachyOS. Been on lemmy for some time now and amount of people saying to not touch Arch…heh.

But Nobara felt safe and right for my use case. Kinda sad it isn’t so.

I am trying to install headless debian on old laptop for hosting right now and…I mean I tried to go with gui and laptop had so muc h lag it wasn’t even funny. But again, me being lazy gets in the way. And me losing my only pendrive too.
