I don’t think you’d have prostitution in a currencyless society. They wouldn’t be prostitutes at that point.

As a programmer, I consider The User to be the enemy. No matter how thoroughly I seemingly test my code, the second the user gets their hands on it, it breaks left and right from all the crazy shit they do.
Exactly. I cut and paste all the time but I make sure I know what the code is doing first before I actually add the code.
True. It was a poor choice of words because it’s definitely different skill sets.
The first android device I ever worked with was a tablet I got for college and I hated how convoluted it seemed to access the file system. There were many things I tried to do that I knew how to do on Windows and Linux but struggled to get done on the tablet. I have the same problems now that I’ve finally gotten a smartphone.
It was awhile ago but there was an article saying that newer generations are PC illiterate because they grow up using smartphones. Apparently Smartphones and PCs are different skill sets.
I’ll sometimes tag Lemmy communities in my mastodon posts. The only thing I dislike about it is how Lemmy displays tags in the post title. There’s got to be some way to fix it so it’s not so off-putting.
Although I haven’t used it since college, I actually liked C++ especially once I understood pointers.
I just created an account there and when it came time to add books, a whole bunch of books I read didn’t even show up. I’ll have to look more into it when I have more time.
Everyone saying to go to Lemmy after the Reddit thing. I always browsed Reddit through their webpage so the third party app thing didn’t really bother me but I thought the whole Fediverse concept sounded interesting and decided to see what it’s like.
Chaotic neutral isn’t that bad when you’re doing programming since the extra vertical space is really convenient.
I’ve been lawful neutral ever since the pandemic forced work from home.
I’m assuming we’re talking about two women since it mentions that the witch is “coaching you on how to get men”.
Similar situation as me. I haven’t seen a manual transmission since my brother totaled his truck way back in the day.
The Nesting Box is $70 and it’s a box designed to hold Wingspan and all it’s expansions. I can see the use of such a thing because it’s currently a bit of a pain setting up a game when the components are spread out over multiple boxes but I just don’t think it’s worth the cost.
The Nesting Box does not come with the base game or any expansions and is solely used to store those items.

I love Wingspan. It’s a great game and the expansions make it even better (I have Europe And Oceania).
I’ve thought about buying the Nesting Box for it too but it’s so expensive for what is essentially an empty box.
Mine Bitcoin when it comes out because they actually will become valuable in the future.
I agree with this 100%. It would also help with QOL since I won’t need to follow a bunch of the same communities spread out over numerous instances.
I tried this out on my mastodon account and it worked really well. Honestly, if browsing communities on Mastodon wasn’t such a nightmare I wouldn’t even need the Lemmy account.
I actually like the idea of just shouting my thoughts into the void. It’s probably why I feel it’s easier to post on Mastodon then on Lemmy.
I was a little upset when I noticed some people started following me.
I’m curious about this too. I thought that’s what Goodreads was for, tracking your books.
