5·12 days agoConvention currents, but different soups will have different thicknesses and the more heat that’s required, but more likely it is the soup on the bottom will burn. Too many variables to design around.
You could make pots that can use a magnetic stirrer like they use in labs, but then you have to fish out a magnet from your soup.

3·13 days agoYou vastly over estimate how the average windows user uses their computer. I can’t even get them to tell me where they downloaded a particular, let alone caring about filtering, grouping or view counts.

8·13 days agoDecades of FUD against Linux. I still hear from gamers that Linux is fine if you don’t value your time. I spent more time configuring my keybinds to ESDF then I do tech support for any Proton or Heroic Launcher game.
They instinctively tap on your screen even when you tell them you don’t own a touch screen.
On the up side, everyone rich enough to have been hording their wealth in gold would also be poor.

2·1 month agoAlien and Aliens were different types of movies. Horror vs Action. That’s why Aliens works. It isn’t a rehash of the first.
T2 was similar to T1, but a change in dynamics like Aliens did. Sarah Connor was more in charge and knew what to do about Terminators by the sequel.
The motors were fine. It was advances in battery tech that made pure EVs viable. Really, hybrids should have been a thing a lot earlier. Series Hybrid tech has been moving trains, ships and industrial equipment for decades before the Prius(Parallel Hybrid) hit the market.

1·1 month agoI think people overestimate how much the average creator can get from their work over time. They need to keep creating to maintain a livable income. Also, 28 years is a good number because it prevents mega corporations from stealing from small creators. Imagine if some novel series becomes a big hit, but Disney or Warner Brothers could just adapt it whenever they pleased without paying the author.

181·1 month agoCap it at the original 28 years after creation. The current 70 years after the creator’s death is ridiculous.

If you can afford 1.6million for a NYC apartment, you can afford 1.3million and upkeep for a castle. People don’t buy luxury NYC apartments to live in. They buy them to peacock to other rich people. At least if you have a castle, you’re creative with your peacocking.
