I was told it was a lemur…
^ This is the best one.
This this this. The fediverse being “confusing” keeps the idiots, boomers, trolls, and overall horrible people away. Having to learn something new is too much for those people. Lemmy/Mastodon and so on are “nerd” platforms, and I really like it that way.
I like Mastodon, it’s fun, I can find pretty reliable information about a breaking news topic, and there are some cool people you can follow. But I really dislike furries and hate seeing their content. It’s like for every 10 cool people, there is a furry. Sometimes, a post will get boosted that I like. I go to their page and it ends up being a lot of furry porn/art. I really, really don’t want to see it, ever.
This was very interesting to read about, thank you. In the United States, we all consider Finland to be extremely progressive, and ahead of us in many ways. So this was odd to hear. Even my American friends who have been in the military have told me about visiting real therapists while on base.
Lol it’s so funny to read the comments about people being annoyed by 195 and 196. It’s just old guys complaining that they don’t get the joke lol.
I personally like the self deprecation the name gives off lol. What I really want to know is what is the lemmy mascot? a rat? a marsupial of some sort?
Same here. I was lucky to somehow miss most of the major bugs when I played day one. I’ve gone back and played it a couple of times after release and I’m super excited for what looks like a complete overhaul of the game.
Let people on other platforms know that we exist! Lol
Deus Ex, the first game. Easy to run, a lot of rpg elements. Half-life 1 and 2 are obvious choices and I think have Linux ports. Emulation is definitely a good route to go as well. A lot of good RPGs on consoles that are easy to emulate.
The system shock remake is honestly one of the best games of the year, even while being a remake.
Loved D1. Was a big halo kid and got this game as soon as it came out. It always had this cool mystique to it.
Is anyone going to buy these other versions? I feel like most people are just going to play on gamepass.
They are priced pretty competitive too. I would just hate to run into a game I want to play that’s held back specifically because of an Intel GPU.
Depends sometimes if I just want to play a shooty game, it’s usually a Doom .wad I haven’t played yet. Destiny 2 is my addiction but sometimes there isn’t such a thing as a chill game of destiny. Cyberpunk 2077, despite it’s launching flaws can be a fun game to turn your brain off to. If I’m feeling nostalgic, I’ll put on Super Mario sunshine, or Crazy Taxi, Chu Chu Rocket, Super Metroid/Fusion/Zero Mission. And those games always give me a big smile across my face.
This is me as well. gen z, hate that trillion dollar corporations run our social media. The fediverse is the future.
