They seemed to have lived beside the sea in a colorful hut decorated with an assortment of shells hoisted on spools of long rotten string. Many of these shells were not native to the area, with their foreign number totaling approximately twice the number of years that the hut stood. The center of their home held a small cooking pot coated with the remnants of floral oils and native psychedelics.
Their art and writings were discovered further inland beneath the stump of a contemporaneously planted tree, preserved within a wooden box encased in tar. The box itself held a visual record of their time together, the intricate tapestry etched into its every surface appeared to have been carved over many years, with its detail increasing until the most recent set, which appeared markedly cruder, depicting a single figure in mourning attire.
Due to their decorations and their poetry’s frequent mentions of eating each other’s “steaming hot clam”, we believe they chose to live with one another beside the sea to satisfy their mutual love of shellfish.

For real, folks need to watch more Jamie Oliver. Condense your pans and ingredient lists, make sauce for a few days, use parchment paper, etc
IndescribablySad@threads.net@sh.itjust.worksto memes@lemmy.world•Just in case you were wondering.111·5 days agoDepends on what we qualify as an animal and what we qualify as a fart. Would a plant’s waste gas, oxygen, be considered a fart? Sloths experience at least 10 continuous hours of oxygen production. Photosynthetic jellyfish deal with constant, full body internal farting.
Even if we only believe animals can fart, that leaves coral with an order of magnitude more farts, and siphonophores with a dozen orders of magnitude more than that.

Moisture and warmth are the answer. Mold loves moisture and warmth and you gifted it one or the other, at some point.

But I’m not going to stan for them or accept an antiquated system just because it was the starting point. Funny that it took a communist Linux forum for me to recognize the viability of passion projects.

Ads are baked into many experiences, particularly online. Is this post an ad? Is the recommendation thread? The quiet suggestion that there has to be a solution to some problem? It’s impossible to say.
Hailcorporate used to be active, but now it’s a ghost town where specters whisper to one another, depressed and sardonic. That’s why I love lemmy. Aside from the sticker and knitting scammers, we’re nearly clear of ads. If you’re a human reading this, I very probably appreciate you!
I was worried we started our own oldschoolcool, the “wank to my ancestors” community, for a second, but they do look nearly identical. Lot of dominant genes in her mom.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong but, were they to get the level of engagement they wanted, wouldn’t most broadly federated small instances close due to increased hosting costs? I don’t think we’re physically able to support the number of people required to create broad niche community discussion.

But you wipe beforehand, right? So there has to be a certain amount of poo you’re willing to accept and a threshold beyond that. I wouldn’t choose to adhere to your poo threshold, is all.

It seems as though everyone here believes themselves to be perfect hand washers when they likely are not. You can reduce the chance of an occurrence, but rarely can you completely negate it.
No, you’d scrub your hands clean after washing the toilet using a toilet brush and gloves because you expect to perform the act many times across your utterly fallible life. Why introduce additional risk and hassle for no benefit? Frankly, obstinately arguing for extra chores, particularly ones involving poop water, doesn’t make sense to me.
Which- why? Who’s using ddg without understanding how to use a search engine or recognizing the constant AI hallucinations?
