They’re not friendly if you start asking about whether or not they actually believe that an armed revolution would succeed.
They’re not friendly if you start asking about whether or not they actually believe that an armed revolution would succeed.
You haven’t tried to interact with them then.
I think you’re leaving out the elephant in the room: They’re supposed “leftists” who want nothing but to shit on the very people that the left needs to embrace.
They’ve taken the “burn it all down” approach, and would rather just have a genocide of anyone on the right, anyone in the center, and anyone who asks them any questions about their beliefs.
They have zero tolerance for inquisitiveness and regard all interaction thats not leftist snark to be in “bad faith”.
They are more than likely a honeypot disinformation campaign meant to siphon off the most fervent leftist believers and incapacitate them via self-ostricization.
I don’t know about that. I feel like being a big fish in a small pond puts the spotlight on you more, leading to caring a lot more about whether or not your contributions are received well. And when you don’t follow the zeitgeist of the small community lock-step, that can cause lots of anxiety and lead to more mental health problems.
Fewer millennials ate lead paint chips as kids, I know that much.
I also rejoice that the largest generation of terrible people will all be dying off in the next 20 years, and the millennials will be taking over control.
Real life is worse than any horror movie, unfortunately.
I don’t think Communist.party is owned by anyone yet.
Also Sausage.party is a good one.
You wrote this 13 hours ago, and I’m just seeing it now and commenting here to agree with you. I love lemmy.
Yeah, I’m sadly guilty of bringing some of that meme-reply bullshit here, and I’ve decided I’m going to stop. I wish there was like a patch or a pill I could take, like they have for smoking. Maybe just downvotes to meme-replies would suffice for me.
Yeah, I don’t recommend it.
The Jolly Rancher story.

Got it. I signed up for another instance. It looks like a cool interface. I may migrate over from mastodon. Thanks for the heads-up!
Yeah… when I click the “Sign Up” button I get this:

“Signups on this server are currently disabled, but you can always sign up at another server! If you have an invitation code for this server, please enter it below.”
Nope.
Yeah. It directed me to the other instances unless I had an invite code. As of now, the firefish.social site isn’t even loading in multiple browsers.
Interesting, because that has not been my experience. On Hexbear or Lemmy.ml. Was banned from both. And I call myself a communist! But to them I’m a “lib” because I don’t want to commit genocide.
