Where I live there are two official languages, the one from the country, Spanish, and the one from the region, Valencian, so you have places and streets named in one and translated into the other and both are valid. Some important places have only one official name in Valencian.

Well there is a huge historical railroad station called Estación del Norte (North Station) that people called it by translating it into Valencian, and now the official name is Estació del Nord.

The thing is that the station was never located on the north of anything in the city, it is called Norte because that’s how it was called the company that built it.

Making the translation official not only increases the confusion about its location for people who doesn’t know the city, but it also hides its history, I know a lot of people living here that don’t know where the name came from and who build it.

I don’t have issues with making official naming in Valencian as long it does not change the name of a person or company.

I forgot about that a new Tron movie was in the making. I saw a trailer at the cinema this past September, it didn’t show much but I was decided to go and see the new one in the cinema too (I usually only go to the movie theatre once per year for the one I cannot wait to see at home).

Next day I saw a trailer on TV that included Jared Leto and decided to not watch the movie at all.

For me walkable means that you don’t need to own a vehicle from going from point A to B and pedestrians are not an afterthought.

For my daily commute or to meet my friends it’s faster/comfortable to walk to the metro station or bus stop than picking the car.

A walkable environment also means good public transport.

I would feel safer travelling to North Korea than USA.

I remember a British ad where police is in front of a bank where a robbery with hostages is taking place.

The sun shines and both police and criminals enjoy it and together (I think they were doing a BBQ and the ad was for a BBQ sauce)

When visiting France the carbonated water was ubiquitous. The company I work for have water fountains with the option of carbonated water in all of their French offices.

The fridge couldn’t reach the manufacturer’s servers, it gives an error and locks itself refusing to being open and a message appears “Cannot verify subscription status. Contact technical support”

I could be benevolent and part of the population would be still against me (slumlords, libertarians, nazis).

After some attempts to kill me I doubt I couldn’t become aggressive against the population who wronged me.

Maybe you already passed it and next week there’s a car accident with your name.

Is the mini fan cooling the heat sink part of the nozzle working?

I had an issue with the adventure 5m pro where prints started to fail and the nozzle got clogged, it was the fan not working and plastic melting where it shouldn’t.

The customer support gave me another fan and a mew nozzle.

That’s what happens when things cool down… It is the cold, that why it looks small 😳

I’m one of those who sometimes make the cow mooning joke and I know wait staff might thinking the “how original” meme, but I do to make it clear how I want the meat.

In my experience ordering meat at most restaurants is that usually is done more than you ordered, I suppose that is to avoid people ordering medium and then complaining that is undercooked.

I don’t comment or judge other people’s preferences, everyone has their own.

Not necessarily compromised, I saw a VPN provider (don’t remember the name) that offered a free tier where the client accepts being used for this.

And I suspect that in the future some VPN companies will be exposed doing the same but with their paid customers.

Where I live the water is very hard, poor quality (but inside of the allowed limits), and also the pipes in my flat’s building are fucking old, so yes, I only drink from bottled or filtered water.

It might not pose a real risk, but I prefer err on the safe side. Additionally the Brita filter removes the nasty taste that the tap water has here and the kettle doesn’t have lime stains.

They have the same agressive/distress face expressions as some badly acted lesbian dom/sub porn videos.

I have the device in Spanish but set the app to English cause the majority of content I consume is in English so that way it doesn’t auto-translates audio and titles into Spanish.

However now is the other way around, the few Spanish creators I follow are auto translated into English.

Is it too difficult to set a list of languages I understand and don’t translate the ones in the list?
