Yeah he was much better a while back. Though that can be said for most of youtube. The algo messes up everything

There are archaeological finds of buildings from more than 9000 years ago (oldest in the region).
There’s a church that was finished sometime during the 1200s and is preserved in its original form in the municipality, but technically it’s not within town limits.
The main church was also initially built around that time but was rebuilt in the late 1700s - nothing of the original remains.
The cellar of a royal farm still remains, which was built in 1552, though it’s more a ruin than a building.
A castle/royal manor was built in 1652, and although it has been renovated and expanded in the early 1700s, parts of the structure are still from the original.
So, I suppose it depends on what you’re looking for.
If it sounds too good to be true - it probably is.
Scandinavian countries are not “super socialist” - sure, we have robust social welfare systems, but these are funded through taxation on regulated market economies with private ownership. That is not socialism.
I know that there were some experiments with trying to transfer into a socialist system here in Sweden during the 70s (I think?), but those failed in a spectacular fashion and were rolled back. They are the reason that many famous “Swedish” brands such as IKEA aren’t actually based in Sweden.
Yep, I’ve a mobile 3070 in my laptop, and whilst I feasibly could run some of the smallest models around, paying on a per-use basis gets me way better quality results for relatively cheaply.
Besides, running it locally isn’t free either. Your hardware deprecates and depreciates over time, in addition to non-negligible power costs.
It’s a story I heard from my dad a few years ago, tried looking it up now, but… well this is the best I found:
Iirc there was some danish bank IT guy who stole every unit of currency smaller than 10^-4 in his banks transactions. Pretty neat until he got caught
Idk, it’s FOSS, so you could always try, but just complaining and hoping somebody picks up on it probably also works. I don’t judge :)
You can still make a bug report, so that somebody with the actual means can look into it. If every action is duplicated that’d be pretty severe, if not, well it’ll be closed.
Depends on if I’d retain my memories. If yes, stick with the current selection, if not, coin flip if that’s a choice. If coin flip isn’t an option I’d pick the opposite.
Close, but no dice. This one was built a fair while earlier , and is part of a 390km long waterway (of which the majority is natural). It’s still maintained today, but not used for any commercial traffic.
One of the worlds most useless canals goes through my town (on it’s path to crossing the entire width of the country). It was built largely with russian POW’s. However, roughly eight years before it was completed, steam locomitives became a thing, making it obsolete.
Current background on my phone, used to save OLED backgrounds from the reddit sub back in the day, and now I have like a hundred on my phone. Switch about once per year.
Band of Brothers is also a good one. War movies are so often the “moment of heroism” or tragedy, but in reality, it’s not a moment. It’s months, years on end of always being on full alert, where one false step one time is enough to die.
Yeah it happened more than once back on reddit that I got some creeper sending a pm, would usually chat politely with them for a bit before pulling out the good 'ol “You do realize I’m a guy, right?” - unfailingly got them pissed off and angry real quick.
For extra creep factor, it would usually happen after posting on /r/teenagers
I prefer lemmy but miss the niche communities. The Swedish national community for instance, roleplaying communities, niche game communities etc.
