I started adding star ratings to tracks in my library so I can auto populate a playlist only with songs getting 3 1/2 stars or more and download them to my phone.
The album that got the highest number of tracks on this playlist was Alligator by The National.

My Apple Watch is way better than a traditional watch. One reason I like it is because it’s not an unneccessary distraction. Before I had one I’d get pings from my phone and have to dig it out to see what the text/email/etc was, now I just glance at my watch briefly and go back to what I was doing unless it’s an important message I really need to act on straight away.
People experience music differently. If I’m going to listen to music, I have to sit there and actively listen to it. If music is playing when I’m trying to work on something, I have to turn it off, it’s too distracting.

We keep appointing or voting for leaders who represent the absolutely worst of humanity. I’m not sure how to change that but it might be worth looking in to.
People take their dogs into Costco around here, they shouldn’t but the staff won’t stop them. I’m thinking maybe my 80lb lab/husky mix should get a run out, he’d love the free samples.
His characters just exist to move the plot forward, I never get the feeling that they have any agency or personality beyond existing so they can be in a Nolan movie.
Probably not a hot take but audio mixes are often dreadful. If I have to turn on subtitles to understand what someone is saying because they’ve been buried in the mix, someone fucked up and that person shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near a mixing console again.
That will happen when you have writers who aren’t as smart as the characters they’re trying to write for and studios scared of putting out anything that audiences may not understand.
Some do, some look fucking awful. I notice it most when the lighting on the actor doesn’t match the environment they’re supposed to be in. Other times the CGI background is too in focus so they can show off their work but it makes the scene look flat.
Loved the movie, I’m glad they got an official ending.
David Attenborough, and I hope he’s around for as long as he wants to be.
