I want to add that “friends of nikki” is mabye wrong, she is totaly alone, which i find interesting: bear lies about nikki to the other two, and obviously isnt truely interested in her wellbeing. Ian had an affair with nikki but is just interested in her wellbeing when he uses it to shoot against baer who he envies. Sarah is in love with bear and is totally toxic against nikki, victimblaming her. Ok maybe bear is very central in these relationships bur maybe not less central than nikki…

I get that you didnt like the movie too much and i dont wanna be that movie defending fangirl but there a a few scenes where we learn things about nikkis past and future plans, her view of love and relationship… we dont learn that about bear (maybe indirectly). She also has a relationship to her male an female friends which exists and is shown outside bears perspective. I miss the female characters perspektive in many movies (most slightly older movies, weve come a long way lol) but that movie didnt give me that feeling… But maybe thats just my subjective experience. Yeah its still a horror movie where things before and after the story are not presented in detail but i think nikkis view was given at least as much room than the male co protagonists view. Maybe sometimes more subtle, because she is obsessed most time… What still haunts me are her eyes in the first sex scene (or rape scene, depends on how much knowlege you grant bear in the beginning).

Haha yeah i had many edits. I come to correct a typo and stay for another add on. I admit this movie hyped me more than i thought, it haunted me e few days after i saw it and from time to time i still think about it, what i barely do after movies.

There are many scenes which make it clear that in fact she is the victim. Theres a permament latent layer of meaning which shows that his only problem is her strange behaviour and not her suffering, he adressed that in many scenes. Even when she talks to him with clear mind in her sleep begging to just kill her all he answers is “is it so bad to be with me”. Also when the one whish willow hotline askes if he wants to talk to the in the background crying and suffering " real nikki" he just denies. Pretty much every scene has these two layers: the classic horror where the crazy nikki hunts her victim and the layer of bear clearly knowing he just trapped this girl against her will for selfish reasons. It shows very subtle in the beginning of the movie and gets more obvious in the further course… I didnt recognize many of the more subtle signs in the first third of the movie until i saw it a second time, i can really recommend to do this (if you two find the time) and rewatch with another perspective, its very well done! Also after i saw it the second time i watched some analsysis and it showed even more details i didnt see the second time, i love how much love went into the details and the social relation between the four friends and what happens in the (sometimes blurred) background.

Hm i think when you have a for whatever reason much discussed topic you will always meet people with opinions that have not much research backgorund or on the other hand people with very strong opinions on both sides who are not open to the other sides arguments. For example: I talked about a few “accidents” and you wouldnt try to understand, why someone like me would think there were some accidents and talk about that there was just one major implying that Fukushima was peanuts and not an issue at all. Of course the truth is (regardless the risk of what maybe could have happened, i think many people who think about Fukushima are more afraid of what could have happend than what happened), that the impact of Fukushima lies somewere between “nothing” and “Tschernobyl”. I didnt even try to discuss pro or con nuclear, i just tried to explain why i think what happened or changed in the last years could easily change someones opinion on that topic. Most people i know that changed their opinion on nuclear say things like “given that climate change is now a bigger issue than i thought 20 years ago, we maybe should have used more nuclear instead of burning coal despite the nuclear waste, 20 years ago i thought different. Also given, that new nuclear plants are very expensive and existing plants are old and risky, i think we should focus on renewables and batteries, because they are clean, decentral, and very cheap now.” something like that, just as an illustration.

That aside, honest question without ruse: who do you think the profiting propandagist is, which you refer to? Oil industry? Wouldnt renewables then be part of the same story?

Why do you think the people who said that “we cant do it” are the same people who now say “now its too late”? The pro and contra points to nuclear energy are pretty obvious. Also obvoius is, that these pros and cons are predestinated for disagreement. Also its obvious that opinions can change, on the one hand people maybe start priorize low carbon enegry production, on the other hand rivers for cooling are drying, a few accidents happened, and the price for nuclear energy is now pretty high while the price for renewables and batteries is dropping. We had a lot of change in circumstances in the last years and decades to discuss so saying “fuck off” is pretty pathetic in this case if you ask me

Ich hab ja nicht gesagt, dass man deswegen keinen Schulterblick machen soll, sondern dass er Sinn macht, OBWOHL er auch Faktoren hat, die sich negativ auswirken. Der schnellste ordenltiche Schulterblick auf der Landstraße wird mit ca. 0,7 sek veranschlagt. Wenn ich z. B. mit 80 auf der Landstraße fahre, verzögert sich bei einem auftauchenden Hindernis (in meinem Beispiel hatte ich von einem Reh gesprochen und nicht von etwas, wovon ich Sicherheitsabstand halten kann) durch die 0,7 sek Reaktionszeit der Bremsweg um 15 m. Diese 15 m habe ich vor einer Rehkollision lieber, als sie nicht zu haben. Natürlich überhole ich deshalb auf der Landstraße trotzdem mit Schulterblick, aber ich vermeide unter Anderem wegen des Schulterblicks das Überholen auf Landstraßen. Und schaue natürlich auch nicht 0,7 sek auf mein Handy. Auch auf der Autobahn können plötzlich Dinge auf der Fahrbahn auftauchen, auch wenn es unwahrscheinlicher ist.

Ja wenn man sich persönlich angegriffen fühlt, neigt man dazu, in den Verteidigungsmodus zu gehen und in der Diskussion stur zu werden, zumindest ist das bei mir oft so. Vor allem online, wo die emotionale Komponente oft schwer zu rauszulesen ist, hat mich das schon tiefer gekränkt und frustriert als es sollte Haha. Deine Aussagen haben sich halt aber schon inhaltlich gegen den Schulterblick positioniert, da bist du argumentativ schnell sowohl auf Glatteis als auch in der Minderheit. Gibt aber 100 solcher Sachen im Verkehr, wo ich mir mannchnal denke OK die Uneinigkeit unter den Leuten zu manchen sicherheitsrelevanten Themen ist (in meiner persönlichen Wahnehmung als betroffene person z.b. von AutofahrerInnen FahrradfahrerInnen gegenüber) schon sehr groß, dafür dass es allg. gültige Dinge gibt, die man eig. lenrnen sollte. Ich zum Beispiel hab in meiner Führerscheinausbildung/Prüfung nicht wirklich gelernt, wie groß der Sicherheitsabstand beim Überholen von RadfahreInnen wirklich sein muss, das die rechts überholen dürfen an der Ampelschlange, dass aussteigen ohne holländischen griff ein no go ist etc… Hat sich bestimmt heute auch viel geändert, fänds aber ganz geil, wenn man alle 10 Jahre mal nen Führerschein light oder so machen müsste, ich denke da hat niemand eine 100% reine Weste, auch wenn viele das von sich denken.

Naja wahr ist natürlich, dass jeder Blick weg von der Fahrbahn vermieden werden sollte, aber letztendlich sind die allg. Anerkannten Fahrregeln nicht aus der Luft gegriffen… Der Schulterblick ist ja auch ein Blick auf den Verkehrsbereich, den du gleich vor hast, zu kreuzen. Bin jetzt nicht so im Seitenspiegelgame drin, aber zumindest laut der ersten Google Einträge gibt es keine Seitenspiegel ohne toten Winkel, nur mit verkleinertem. Muss auf dem Rad auch häufig in die Eisen treten, weil rechtsabbigerInnen mich anscheinend ab und an nicht im rechten Spiegel sehen (mal angenommen sie schauen überhaupt). Stimme dir aber bisscheb zu, da ich den Schulterblick bei hohem Tempo auch nicht sehr sicher finde. Nehmen wir mal an, da springt ein Reh auf die Fahrbahn, zählt ja jede ms für die Reaktionszeit. Lässt sich halt nicht vermeiden, wahrscheinlich ist die Regel so, weil Schadenswahrscheinlichkeit- und/oder -ausmaß etwas im toten Winkel umzunieten, viel größer ist, als das Risiko, durch den verlorenen Augenblick durch die Kopfdrehung im Notfall etwas später Bremsen zu können und dass dadurch was passiert.

Kenne das auch bei Hörbüchern, bei mir funktionierts ganz gut mit irgendwelchen dokuradiobeiträgen oder geschwätz von youtuberInnen, da ists nicht so schlimm, wenn die Gedanken abschweifen und man ne minute später geistig wieder einsteigt :)

Hab das früher auch gehasst wie die Pest. Irgendwann hab ich angefangen, mir bisschen mehr Zeit dafür zu nehmen und dafür schön mit Podcast auf dem Ohr und grünem Tee in der Tasse alles entspannt zusammenzulegen, einzuräumen, gleich noch Spülmaschine ausräumen, etc… Dauert zwar alles doppelt so lange, da das Hirn beim Podcast ist und den Rest der Autopilot regeln muss, dafür ist es aber zum Quell der angenehmen Geruhsamkeit geworden. Und neben dem Grünteekoffein kickt noch das Erfolgserlebnis, nen to do Punkt endlich abgehakt zu haben… Seit ich das mit allem langweiligen so mache, gammelt meine Wohnung auch weniger vor sich hin und ich freu mich schon fast auf die entspannte Stunde jeden zweiten Tag :)

Auch diese riesigen grinsenden Schweineaufsteller, bei dem das Schwein auf die Tafel zeigt, auf der dann sowas wie HEUTE WURST 2,99 DM steht… Fand das schon als Kind immer bisschen krank, obwohl ich damals noch selbst gerne Wurst gegessen habe.
