That’s great news! No rush and don’t overwork yourself, though. We can be patient…
I can reply to someone, I can even tap the “quote” formatting button, but I can’t select text to copy/paste! Very irritating, but maybe I’m just not doing it right…
I tried Thunder, and Connect, and Summit and Voyager and Boost. Nothing matched the experience I preferred with Sync, but it’s clearly abandoned by the developer and has many compatibility issues and bugs. So I signed up with a PieFed instance and downloaded Blorp. It doesn’t have quite as many features yet, but it’s the closest to what I want…

World News@lemmy.world•US judge blocks Trump administration from deporting UK anti-disinformation campaignerEnglish
24·4 days ago“Anti-disinformation” campaigner…? So, someone who believes in truth, not lies? It’s weird living through Orwell’s 1984…
It’s the season I still hate. The Holidays sucked when I worked retail, and back then we didn’t even have to work Christmas unlike many stores now! It’s certainly not better these days, and the amount is stores that are open on the day is insane. We can’t close it even a single day of the year to allow the workers to celebrate with their family and friends!?
I no longer work retail, but I still see the craziness. Everywhere is crowded, everyone is rushing around and stressed and grumpy and driving crazy. Everything is just bad this time of year…
I know I drank a pint of gin last night, but then I time traveled and I woke up in my bed! Am I a god?
It absolutely is that bad. I’m in the US and drive to multiple locations every single day. Of course some areas are better/worse than others, but in my subjective opinion, it keeps getting worse. Distracted driving, drunks, texting/insta/whatever, aggression, impatience, excessive speeding, veering from lane to lane without signaling, straight-up dangerous maneuvers, etc. I see it all the time. What’s not subjective is that road deaths are going up, at least in the US.
She’s glorious!

cats@lemmy.world•I finally figured out that my cat Miez doesn't like hopping onto the potentially wet window sill, so today I built her a ladder including entrance wayEnglish
1·11 days agoI don’t think you translated the 2nd paragraph. Google says it’s roughly:
After I finally understood that my cat didn’t want to jump onto the potentially wet windowsill, I built her a cat ladder with a connecting passageway.
Anyway, I hope someday someone loves me as much as you love little Miez!

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Is there a way to strip stencils off of glass?English
3·12 days agoExactly. If logos are going to be loud and annoying, I have no idea what my role is!

“Hey, you know that chat bot that’s churning through billions in money and drinkable water every year to guess the answers to questions, lie, hallucinate, and gaslight false info? You know, the one that will never be profitable, but every giant company has a hard-on for, despite almost no one liking it…? What if we made it even more unreliable and inaccurate, by forcing in Corporate Answers™. And yeah, the customer still has to pay for it…”
