das it mayne
getting from my house to my office on my old road bike used to take 45 mins and I’d be sweaty when I got there, and the idea of 45 mins uphill after work used to make me wanna off myself. Since I got an e-assist its 25 mins and I’m like lah de dah meep meep
yeah of course- I mean your experiences here are so different neurobiologically… acid makes regions of your brain that normally dont communicate start sending signals to each other, wheras a serious dose of a dissasociative is going to be seriously dissasocative … just radically differen’t experiences. they used to call acid “instant zen”
for what its worth I understand what you mean. I had a friend who used to say that acid was like becoming a child neurologically again, suddenly able to reassess everything you’ve seen a million times
how would you describe lemmy? an original work? get the fuck over it dude
because everything else people have listed are free
dont ask how people are doing if you don’t care man
when my dad died my brother and I rented a bunch of films to occupy our minds. the pest was the only one we turned off a few minutes after the terrible shower scene
Star Wars is not good. The first three films were outstanding and were honestly something very special. Everything else is terrible
no shit… thats wild, really. heh. I always presumed it was an optical disk in a little case
money! just production costs I’d say. I took a 3D design class forever ago and they made us get Zip disks, and if you wanted to work on stuff at home that meant you needed a zip drive. My dad (RIP) bought me a drive and I’m somehow still touched as it was a reasonably big purchase at the time for a slacker 18 year old doing 3D design at a community college
Not a 3D designer now, finally went back to college for something else in my 20s… anyway, rip my dad and rip the zip drive, they were cool. 100mb wow
I mean you clearly know way more about it than me… but yeah some kind of carrier/cartridge protecting the disc and we’d probably still be using CD-W-RW’s
minidiscs should have been the standard CDs became. no one would have considered holding a 3.5" floppy disc gingerly by the edges and placing it into a tray to read. the case is critical.
however, the industry realized people were replacing their scratched cd’s, so they’d sell 2, 3 of the same disc to the same person. Source: worked at a record store in the hight of the CD age when mini discs were all but essentially snuffed out
Im in my 40s and certainly remember the dine-in pizza huts and arcades. There were three in my area, all 3 were in shopping malls. Some of the games were starting to be 50¢ though, like After Burner which moved as you sat in it.
Where do you live? Theres an arcade in the city I live in now (its a bar-cade) but they have dozens of old cabinets and pinball tables. Theyre €1 per play, though…
youre addicted to caffiene. just like the cigs, a month off and you’ll be fine. We got an Aarke (Sweedish soda stream) machine and these concentrated drops of natural flavoring with no sugar or sweetners, and I switched to coffee. Its been… pretty bitchin
I’m not sure eating lunch or going to a film on your own is socially unacceptable. People judge things to make themselves feel better, but I go to lunch on my own on a friday every week cause I’m in a certain part of the city on that day. Films here and there, also- wife and I just saw Oppenheimer last week and someone was there on his own in the row in front of us. I yelled looooooser and threw popcorn at him and when he looked back with tears in his eyes I tongue kissed my wife while making eye contact with him and giving him the finger, then said “you’ll die alone haha”. That part probably invalidates the previous part of my post now that I think about it, but I think lunch is ok.
I have a laserjet 1020 and its absolutely flawless
