Surely you learn an area pretty quickly. Worst case you may ask what major road something is near and you would know that and then can quickly look at the map to find the small road. Like I say my street name and if someone asks where about is that I give them the name of the major road next to it.

Depends what it’s used for. Coworkers use it to generate memes a fair bit. I also use it as a starting point for looking stuff up occasionally, partly because so many fucking websites are AI generated now I may as well ask a more direct question to AI instead. Then once I have a more specific answer I can look that up somewhere more reliable.

Recent example there being looking up things to grow in my allotment, give general goals and conditions and get a list of things. Then see what sounds interesting from that list and look that up on the RHS website.

I don’t have any now and don’t plan to start now. Physical media just seems so dumb for distributing small amounts of data, I can store so much more on an SD card which takes a fraction of the space of vinyl or CD.

1 CD is what, 700MB? A CDs size worth of SD cards is tens of TBs.

You can get laptops for under £200 at CEX here. Sometimes under £100. They will still run UT1999 at 60FPS. Probably 144FPS if it supports outputting that high over what ever port it has for an external display.

It’s 2026, I own a PC using parts up to a decade old. Its worth less than 2 weeks of minimum wage. All the games are digital, I just got 15 of them for under £80 and can backup the installer to an external drive.

I can even get a refund a few weeks later if I don’t like one of the games.
