Depending on which point in Star Trek you’re referring to, for the most part the shows are about 400 years into our future.

Yeah a Samsung Odyssey
Headphones/ear buds. It really comes down to your use case. If you listen to podcasts and audiobooks 90% of the time then you only need good enough which is typically around $40.
That’s why I went ahead and got one of those 49" Samsung displays. I use it probably 300 days a year and I’ll likely keep it for 10 years like my old ones. I could have saved money but this was a luxury that I can easily justify by how often I use it.
It really doesn’t matter. Sleep on whatever you’re comfortable on. If that’s a $60 walmart inflatable or a $4k luxury silver lined mattress, whatever gives you the best sleep is right for you.
And they’re only $50 for the actual Hitachi model. Always assumed it would be far more expensive.
Prophecies require explicit parameters. Anything else is ad-hoc and you can fit nearly anything to be a prophecy after the fact.
And it really didn’t make the ending any better… I didn’t feel rewarded after that slog. Personal victory maybe?
Expeditionary Force is a fun sci-fi saga with great narration and lots of funny bits. If you’re not paying attention and miss half a chapter it doesn’t really matter too much. Book 7.5 is a full cast epic production with a few well known sci-fi actors.
If you’re looking for something that’d you’d get at the pharmacy for $10 then Jack Reacher is pretty fun for the first 10 or so books. I find the most interesting bit being that they’re contemporary and basically released annually with the first being released in 1997. You can see the technology change and the world around Jack change. I tapped out after book 20 or so but it was an enjoyable enough experience.
Hah I realized that 30 seconds after I replied.

That’s Kbin
I relatively recently upgraded from a Pixel 6 and constantly try to use the squeeze feature that doesn’t exist on my new device.
Nokia phones in 2000 could record your voice for any command you wanted. The voice command reliability of those phones is beyond superior to what is offered by today’s voice assistants.
Most of these Chromebooks are 3-4 years old and in really rough shape. Kids use these things for literally everything. You likely wouldn’t even want them for free. Probably bio-waste at this point.
It’s like how Reddit is I've read it
, Lemmy is Let me tell you
… Think an excited person, “Lemmytellyousomething!!!”
I really enjoyed Google+ specifically for the Circles feature. I’m pretty sure it was the age unrestricted global Hangouts chats that killed it… Probably what this scene from Silicon Valley is about.
