Some pawn shops might take you up on this
I remember Serena Williams making a comment that the men can just hit harder and faster. So even a sport like tennis men just have an advantage.
Having watched some badass girls wrestle dudes and win it’s an up hill battle. Women are typically stronger then men at a young age like single digit age but one puberty hits it’s all off the table.
Now shooting(archery/firearms) I have seen girls out preform men and it’s a fair sport of accuracy. Also in motor sports women can be competitive there and also have an advantage of being smaller and lighter. Every 100 lbs is a 1/10th a second
I really remember heatsinks being a thing on overclocked systems around that time frame and then once we got to P4 cpus the chilling towers appeared those things were massive
Lot of bridge bots for linking Matrix and Discord along with IRC
Being an older system admin this is how we worked. Would generally have an A and B side and maybe C on our stacks. Most of the time what I supported would be A and B clusters in two data centers and then do either 100% on our primary site or do a mix of traffic between our two sites
The Why Files covers it really well. All hail Blucifer!!! https://youtu.be/NQflFk5WAO0?si=PiCqmzmEh2Ujq-be
I think that’s off Fuck Boy LN
Growing up in a rural part of Ohio it was needed. Everything was 20-30 miles away. Need milk and eggs, well see you an a hour
Laughs in ThinkPad
You kids with your fancy branch support back in my day we had CVS and RCS liked it
Hey there were like 3 of us lol! No joke that’s what I have done at a few of the smaller shops as an SRE/System Engineer
git commit -m “changed somethings “
git push origin master
I checked out Lemmy a longtime ago and went back to Reddit then API changes happened so I just went cold turkey for a while. Lemmy apps started to get good and content is starting to take off. Feels a lot like the old Digg and Reddit days here right now. Few things need to get resolved with Lemmy like making it easier for registering new people. Like having a generic server for people to join and get started. An option to change servers would be very nice at some point too once people kind of figure things out. Once a handful of things get sorted out and streamlined I think we will see a lot of growth
We did versioning back in the day too. $application copied to $application.old
