  • UBI is a great system, but I would want it heavily regulated. Because you just know and it’s the truth, that a lot of people will sit on their ass all day and take advantage of it. This is a system that should be for those who’re actually struggling.

And I say this because I’ve heard stories and seen it first hand, of people lying on documents and forms to get benefits that they don’t deserve. You cannot introduce and incorporate UBI with the mindset that nothing can go wrong - because it could, if it’s unchecked.

I take downvotes as an admission of guilt to my observations, thanks.

  • I think I know what you’re talking about. I do believe there’s a time and place for anything, but just trauma dumping your life’s woes somewhere like on a YouTube comment section, is probably not one of those places.

If you feel like there’s nobody to talk to about it - write a blog or a journal entry. Dump your feelings and experiences there, then share them whenever someone asks you what’s wrong. There are places and sites that are open for one to talk about these sensitive subjects to.

But there’s just no reason to randomly do it on like YouTube comment sections for example. I see it nearly all of the time.

  • I’m immune to FOMO and feeling the need to be part of the ‘in’ crowd.

I was one of the first groups of people to adopt the internet as a user, so I and so many others around with me, all saw the Internet become what it became today. And I’m not impressed a single bit with what’s become of it. But we can tell you how long some of the bullshit has gone on for.

  • It may sound like I’m a conspiracy theorist, but companies and other entities out there who’re actively denying people to self-repair, are knowingly complacent with the idea of keeping people dumb.

So yes, I believe in planned obsolescence, simply because removing the right to repair, voiding warranties, not allowing information to be shared. It’s all part of a scheme to keep people dumb and reliant on throwing away more money to these companies and indirectly committing victimless crimes like polluting and adding to the problems of landfills.

  • Totally agree. It’s really embarrassing about how slow of a progress it has been to let people just be people with the same set of advantages and disadvantages with only marginally slight tilts.

Places in the middle-east still see women as lesser than, some parts of America still see blacks as lesser than, see gays as lesser than and vice versa.

We all bleed the same color, don’t we?

  • A lot of trailers spoil things for me when I’m not even looking for the spoiler. Nothing really surprises me from what comes out of Hollywood anymore.

I don’t need to watch blockbuster films when their trailers play the best parts and know how much of a budget was blown as to where the focus of the movie is going to be about.

I don’t need to watch comedy films when the chances are likely that they put in the funnier bits in the trailer.

I don’t need to watch horror films when the trailers play up the shitty effects and give you too many clues as to what it’s going to be about.

This isn’t just simply shitting on films, it’s a matter of having watched so many, it’s second nature to you.
