You really have to be careful. Sometimes browser add-ons can really fuck with your search results. A YouTube enhancer extension was a culprit at one point. If you’re on Android, it’s possible for apps to do this too. Stuff is constantly being patched and blacklisted, but it might not be purely the search engine’s fault. I don’t main Google anymore, but I still occasionally do use it when other engines let me down, and Google has been different enough.

I’m not saying it’s worse or not worse, but that, if it’s REALLY bad, it’s also possible it’s something else.

Edit (a week later): no, Google has actually gotten weirdly worse recently. Confirmed on multiple PCs. Not sure if it’s just Google, the entire spread of the internet, or just search engines getting SEOd.

My God. Multiple times I’ve been on that screen in the past. But every time, I’ll have no idea how I got there. I’ve tried to get back, but the best I had was on a magazine’s page at the very bottom.

My opinion? This is AWFUL design. That a second settings button is THERE is unbelievable. Maybe I’m not hip to how the fediverse exactly works, but this doesn’t feel like the right route to that stuff.

Oooooo… Yes that’s it. Thank you. That’s a good protip. I’m assuming that’s a setting that I probably turned off while trying to make the the All page be more compact.

Edit: I don’t know where that setting is. It’s not in my profile settings.

Fyi Feedback in case you were curious about other people’s experience:
On Android chrome kbin app, gif loaded into browser, image scaled to 1x and didn’t fill or stretch at all, preloaded on its own fine, had to click play, didn’t loop.

Reddit media always worked for me on Android baconreader. It had a few months sprinkled over the last ten or so years where random hosting sites or Reddit hosted media would choke, but it would always fix itself. I’m not sure how much of any of that is the app or the site or what.

Hm. From what I’m collecting organically, is that while the fediverse is definitely the future, it has some framework designs and philosophy on …certain issues to really nail out before it can become web 3.0

I think this place and the fediverse we’re in now is supposed to be based in anti censorship? So you should theoretically be able to just outright say you hope he dies? I’m not actually sure on that though. Any mods or admins here if you want to correct me, please do. Because, I do hope abbott chokes on a brussel sprout and dies. Him, desantis, trump, and carlson can all join limbaugh in the forever nothing with the rest of the fucking nazis. They can all fight strokes and lose.
