You combine that with late stage capitalism necessitating two parents working meaning the child might not even see them that much. More kids are neglected with their grades being the only source of validation. It would help so much of them being taught how to love themselves.

For some the novelty of lemmy dropped pretty quickly. Most reddit users which make up a huge chunk of lemmy users would go days if not, weeks without commenting or posting. You kinda have to factor in that a lot of people are lemmy lurkers that will comment or post once they find something that interests them.

I find imbd more reliable in a way than RT. If you view the 10 to 1 rating system as a percentage chance of you enjoying a movie, then it’s extremely trustworthy. Letterbox is pretty good as well.
