TheDorkfromYork@lemm.eeto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•do you hate AI generated art? why?English11·3 months agoAI generation is a gradient from clean up to controlling every pixel.
If an artist draws the line art, does basic coloring, but has a network do the sharing, that’s art. How far does that carry?
Surely, anything that had heart and soul poured into it is art, right? Text prompt, or otherwise. You don’t have to resonate with it. You can be scared of it.
But you said imagination, feeling, skill make up art. It is bold, or naive, to think those who create AI works doesn’t have these traits, like to say the hobbies, programmers, and the curious, aren’t artists.

You can use Jami or SimpleX if you want privacy. All files are only stored on your local clients. Down side is both clients need to be online but my phone is on most of the time, and if not it syncs when I get online later.

Edit: I’m unsure which Snapdragon chips were tested.

TheDorkfromYork@lemm.eeto[Dormant, please move to !television@lemm.ee] Movies and TV Shows@lemm.ee•*Permanently Deleted*English4·1 year agoJust saw the extended edition. I can’t see what people enjoy about it. The dialogue is sharp but the story is abysmal.
TheDorkfromYork@lemm.eeto[Dormant, please move to !television@lemm.ee] Movies and TV Shows@lemm.ee•*Permanently Deleted*English57·1 year agoMy theory is that people who found No Country boring are only familiar with straight forward plots. It takes thoughtfulness to enjoy the film, and the people I know who disliked it lack that.
The movie doesn’t hold your hand. John Wick requires lots flashy action because the average viewer would benefit from a close caption that says “feel excited now,” while No Country is boring unless you’re brain is actively participating.
What are your thoughts on this generalization?
