Reddit taught me this. It’s great to cope with frustration while not engaging in a sterile argument.
I got you. Of course it’s easier said than done. But you got to be nuanced and able to read the room. Maybe think ahead to avoid being in trouble (work, edgy neighborhoods).
But in the end, you must not care. Even insults. Insults have the value only you give to them.
Take care ♥️
I do whatever the fuck I want, unless it is unpolite or could hurt somebody’s freedom.
I learnt that, as I don’t give a shit about what people are doing, they must also don’t give a shit either. People just care about themselves most of the time. The day I realized that, I had a strong freedom feeling.
Having kids multiplied this attitude by 1000 and actually, I see people smiling and interacting with us while we’re fooling around.
GO PLAY WITH FUCKING PUDDLES WEARING PINK PANTIES ON YOUR HEAD MY DUDE ! I might join you.
The answer is very often selfhosting.
I was totally oblivious to this concept 2 years ago. I now have multiple servers running a bunch of FOSS software and I’m totally google free.
My solution to upload videos I want to share is picoshare. Dead simple and efficient.
I learnt everything online and if I could make it, so do you :)
Damn dude, what about cuddles and stuff :o
Because only lemmy.ml was popular 2 years ago.
Open-source and unmoderated are 2 very different things.
Lemmy is open source so you got this already.
As for an instance without an admin, there can’t be such a thing. An instance has to be hosted on some server and this server belongs to somebody that has to maintain it.
A community without a mod doesn’t exist, as a community has to be founded by someone to exist.
Now, do you really want a community without an active mod ? Well if you want spam, bots and shitty content, sure.
If your problem is power tripping mods, just leave the communities with such mods.
Or you can run your own Lemmy instance and see how it goes.
That’s nice to have feedback. Thanks.
When I vaporize, the smell doesn’t last very long. Not sure what kind of weed or vaporizer you use though.
I’ve never tried it, but I heard good things about Smoke Buddy
I’m not using it a lot but the few times I did it didn’t fail me: Lemmyverse
I haven’t read an official study about it, but I’ve seen random posts and comments of mine poping back here and there with no apparent link in time or subreddit.
Let me know if you find what you’re looking for, I’m interested :)
Do you mean web.archive.org ?
Everything is archived some place or another anyway.
The point of erasing your content on Reddit is to lower the value of the site and be a pain in their ass.
People shouldn’t erase their account. Not ever. Not until you are sure they won’t keep restoring your content. Keep erasing your restored content, take screenshots beforegand, and report them under GDPR / Cali law. When they’ll be forced to comply, then we can erase our account.
The Shining Force series
No thanks. This adds absolutely no value to the conversation. I get the humor, but why would one want to turn Lemmy into reddit instead of going to reddit to sooth the “cravings” ?
Got a couple niche subs I still check once in a while. Otherwise I don’t read reddit anymore nor do I comment and vote.
And I’m absolutely fine with it.
This is indeed a community based on sarcasm, second-degree humor and self-mockery. I understand that it’s not for everyone.
I’m astonished at how people can take futile things so seriously though.
Jeez, why can’t people just take things lightly and have a good laugh.

Please, call for help. Here is a list of hotline support from all around the world.
You being on earth right now is some kind of wonderful magic event. Think of the odds of you being on this giant rock lost in vacuum thinking about your own condition and building a family.
Don’t loose that magical spark, you’re worth it :)
