My grandmother was really really good at Dr. Mario. She played the NES version first and later got into a Wii Virtual Console version of Dr. Mario. She’d start at level 20 every time.
Eventually her eyesight got the better of her, but until that happened, she was damned good at it.

Some of how she’s building the dollhouse with my help is kindof “set in stone” already. She started with an Ikea FLISAT dollhouse shelf unit kit:
And we’re modding it from there. So some things like the a split-level would be pretty hard. Also, it’s 1:12 scale and we’ve been able to calculate things like, for instance, head clearance when going up the stairs and seen that much shorter couldn’t really work without making the stairs even more unrealistically steep.
That bar cabinet is 3.25" tall. Typical cabinet height in the real world is apparently somewhere around 3’. (In the 30 seconds I’ve spent googling just now, I’ve seen figures between 30" and 42", though I think the upper end of that range is kindof meant for taller-than-average people.) 3.25" times 12 is like 39". So yeah. Seems pretty counter-height already. The first iteration of that bar cabinet was quite a bit shorter, but I always make my designs nice and parameterized, so when she asked for the dimensions to be tweaked, it was pretty trivial to make an adjustment and send it to the printer again.

Yeah, actually we tried an experiment with an inkjet printer after getting that feedback in other comments and the results are definitely more vibrant. The colors are “off” in a different (and more acceptable) way than they are with the laser printer, but we haven’t tried calibrating that printer with the colorimter yet, so we might get better results once we try that.

Yeah, that’s an option I’ve run across in my research as well. I’ll bring it up and see what that produces.

Ha! Well, it’s still pretty early in the process, but I do have some things I can show. A lot of it is going to be 3d printed and I’ve designed some 3d printed parts for it.

Thanks! Yeah, Paint.net doesn’t natively have a proofing mode, but it looks like there may be some plugins for that. Or, worst case, I can badger her into switching to Gimp or Krita, both of which have proofing modes built-in.

Also, just to mention it, the color laser printer in question is pretty much brand new. It was purchased new less than 6 months ago.

OpenAI and Anthropic and Alphabet etc try their best to preventing it from doing so, so the act of getting it to do so anyway is “jailbreaking”, but yes. LLMs can reproduce works it was trained on. (At least chunk-by-chunk each limited to the token limit.) And I’d imagine the same is true of things like Stable Diffusion, though it might be much easier to get Stable Diffusion to produce something similar enough to qualify as a “derivative work” than it would be to get it to produce exactly the original.
