It’s actually just a regular full-length novel but with illustrations to supplement various scenes

The habitation section of the station is mostly buried inside the comet, while the rest of it extends into the tail. This way its inhabitants are shielded by rock and ice while its auxiliary sections (solar panels, radiators, docks, etc.) have easy access to open space (but are also hidden from radio telescopes by the comet tail that forms during solar approaches)

I’m an art school student who writes creative fiction and messes around with old electronics, so I wouldn’t really say I have a technical background. Work-wise I’ve mostly just done art/editing commissions or taught at studios. I’m just kind of tired of mainstream social media so I’m taking refuge in the Fediverse, and I’m liking it a lot so far

They’re holding an alien artifact which guides them through an ancient portal network made by the same alien civilization (the structure in the back is one of the portals)

I play Risk of Rain, but I actually came up with the design in another artwork several years ago before I ever heard of the game. Funnily enough I got into RoR after posting that artwork and getting a lot of comments pointing out the resemblance between my design and the game

Crazy-ish idea, but maybe Lemmy could make a feature where instances can have custom awards similar to Reddit gold and stuff, and users can buy them to both award posts they like and financially support the instance host
