If it gets people to comment go for it commenting and posting would basically be voting with your feet people who are complaining are likely already generating content in technology science ect in those topics reddit reposts aren’t necessary.

With third party apps added and new niche communities its getting alot better. I’m enjoying it. Also has a high level of discussion a higher level of discussion without karma.

Subreddits are still private but there data isn’t lost so the knowlege loss isn’t irretrievable mods from the subreddits will be able to transfer knowledge from Reddit to Lemmy

Yes Reddit was great before it betrayed its users with a level of discourse and creativity not seen anywhere on the internet
