It’s not an anti journalism take. Journalism is valuable. I mean the american media landscape and the control mega corporations have over almost all of their popular media. Disney, WB and Netflix come to mind.
There absolutely are real conspiracies, USA mass surveillance, corporate control over media and censorship, social media amplifying autocratic propaganda while shadowbanning democratic content, big tech making propaganda easily accessible though text, image and video generation, fossil fuel oligarchs lobbying against change for the better, anything Epstein was doing, etc.
No need to invent stuff.
Oops, I forgot to mention, I highly recommend starting your exercises in black and white. This is important because it gets rid of the distracting colours. It will really help you to see graphical elements and shapes instead of objects. And this is such an important skill. You need to learn to segment the frame and abstract objects into shapes, lines and points because this is what photography is, at its core.
IMO forget the online resources. Buy a book by someone who knows what they’re doing, such as Michael Freeman. He’s got some excellent books on composition and photography in general. As for the tech stuff, forget about it. Set it to aperture priority, select a good aperture and shoot away. To really improve you need to shoot a lot, and I mean a lot a lot. Shoot daily, even if it’s just your way to work. In the evening, look at the pictures you took. Are you happy with them? How could they be improved meaningfully? One of the best exercises I’ve found is to shoot hundreds of pictures of a single object. Because this will force you into new perspectives, even if they don’t work, it’s still meaningful. You’re also learning why some things work and why others don’t. There are as many ways to shoot a house as there are sand grains on planet Earth. The only limit really is the imagination. So focus on an object and get as much out of that object as you can, if you get 300-400 of the house in the previous example, you can move on. You can also combine this exercise with the books. So if you read something about converging lines, try to get converging lines in a house.
Crispr gene editing doesn’t work like a Santa Claus wishlist, dunce.

Imagine being forced to pay for privatised hospitals. This post was made by the EU-Gang. 🇪🇺
When I bought a new phone for GrapheneOS, I wanted to see if the new Pixel model was worth it, as mine was EOL. Many reviewers made comments about it being weird not buying a new 600 € phone every single year.
Then I checked some statistics from my local national bank. I calculated that the average resident in my country was in debt with 24,000 € and had about 3,000€ on hand.
Genuine question: how is capitalism supposed to continue?

IMHO: The only way to win the game is to not play. Nobody takes the job title or their salary with them. Enjoy life, prepare for retirement and don’t get ass fucked by the stupid staus symbols everyone wants you to buy.
Simple solution: question everything if you disagree with it. If you agree, it must be correct.

Jake Paul forgot that he can only challenge senior citizens.
Think about it. Many of them have enough money to end world hunger, build affordable housing, give healthcare to a poor country, etc. But they choose not to. All evil is an active choice.
I’m not pretending that the epic cunt store from Tim Sweeney is better by any metric, but let’s remember there are problems with Steam, it playing a role in the introduction of gambling into videogames. CSGO, TF2, without the steam integration, it would not have worked. And furthermore, Steam is proprietary and works as digital restrictions management. Without Steam running in the background, your game won’t start. Yes, there’s offline mode, but one day it could be taken away from you and there’s nothing you could do against that. I say this with my large steam library and it worries me.

How so?
