Yeah, I was thinking the same. Hopefully they’ll somehow make it to where you can only listen to the commentary with headphones, otherwise there will definitely be solipsistic assholes playing it out loud in the theaters and ruining things for others.

I think it’s a combination of multiple different groups each with many different reasons/ideologies/motivations behind this, so I think you and the OP article are both correct.

What makes you think the blog is AI generated? Even if it was (which I don’t think it is) the Arstechnica article ‘quoted’ quotes that weren’t there in the first place, so it would still be problematic on their end.

Also, where are you seeing that it’s dated 2024? For example, the linked post shows as published on February 13th 2026 for me.

Yeah, same here. :( Which extra sucks because I’m disabled and have chronic pain, and a nice bath helped with some of it. But I’m just too long! & 'cause of the aforementioned disabilities, I can’t afford a place with a suitable tub. Buuut it’s better than being homeless, so I can’t complain too much, haha!

The result is something I adamantly do not want to interact with. I do not want to be exposed to LLM output at any time. It’s noise, and I feel like I get a little dumber every time I accidentally start reading it. My brain is already a bit glitchy, and I really cannot afford to have it work even more less good.
