  • I was just thinking about this. Love these videos. Cooling of a solar panel is a good application, as long as it gets cold enough for long enough to re-solidify at night.

An alcohol/NaCl solution with a stabilizer can make an ice pack that freezes colder than water. That could be used to keep ice cream frozen in an ice chest.

It would be cool to have recipes for a few different temperatures. There’s a German company Qool Products that sells PCM temperature elements (ice packs), at a variety of temperatures, to store ice cream up to red wine/cellar temp in their ice chest. With some trial and error I guess we could now make our own!

  • Yeah and those who cake on makeup aren’t trying to mislead me into thinking they’re pretty either. It does also apply to some clothes. Not regular haircuts but certainly hair dying, straightening, and curling. I would apply it to nail extensions and high heels as well. I think it’s pretty fair to put daily full facial shaving into that same category. It’s all clown shoes to me.

  • The question is: why are you shaving? Why are you so afraid of looking like yourself?

When you have a beard, people respect you. They listen when you talk and hold doors open for you. I have a hard time trusting a man with a clean shaved face, because our interaction is starting off with a lie. I feel the same way about makeup and fake eyebrows and plastic surgery.

  • Should be single syllables to speak. Nil, bit, pair, few.

15 is a few few. 12 is few nil.

But for more than 2 digits, I think we need something better than just spewing digits. I would propose a vowel suffix for the higher digits. Y, O, and A. So 63 becomes few-y few few, and 64 is Bit-Y or “bitty”. Don’t need to say the nils after. 65 is Bitty bit. 255 is FewO FewY few few, followed by 256 which is Bitta.

  • Billionaires have a completely different level of capital as the doctors, lawyers, engineers, and business owners who have $1-5 million in assets. I’m not going to fault somebody for being successful and using their money to buy capital to make more money. Billionaires are the only ones who should be named, shamed, and blamed. It’s an entirely different level of greed and exploitation, because it’s totally needless. It’s like you already won capitalism, but that’s not enough, no, you have to rig it so that nobody else ever wins like you did. Those people are so rich they can employ bot farms to throw fuel on the social media fires that keep us all hating each other instead of them. It’s pretty simple. Don’t trust anybody with a private jet.
