auf nem zweiteplatz am fenster, fals das nicht möglich ist auf nem dreier quer, sofern ich außen sitzen kann. würde meist eher stehen, als auf nem vierer zu sitzen. wenn das so abgearbeitet ist, immer lieber oben und ruhig sonneseite, weil ich den luxus habe, bei den heutigen temperaturen selten fahren zu müssen. tbt ist mir aber sonne/schatten/oben/unten egal, solange ich zweier platz am fenster bekommen

than sorry about that, to me it seemed like there being a romantic version implied that it was a morally sound version (which always needs consent just to be sure here)

all of your “alternatives” (here and above) make it sound like any love potion (even the “romantic” ones) are in any form consensual and not abusive by nature…

i do that a lot, with customer communication (especially via mail but also on the phone). i makes the other person feel seen, they are usually in a better mood afterwards and more likely to do business with us again, cost me nothing, is a good practice to lie (since it’s not actually my/our fault).

would be very careful though about doing it in a relationship, would probably only do it, if i really really cared for the other person and see the situation itself as sorted out and 100% forgave them, otherwise such falsehood might lead to trouble.

when i was little friends of our had one of those , but nobody else. since it seemed rare i though thats what owning an automatic (car) meant. learnt about the shifting thing way later.

last i looked at them (some time ago now) they either:

• had very out of date hardware
• were incredibly expensive for what they offered
• the only middle ground model that seemed fitting for my purposes (gaming wouldn’t be on that list but linux indeed) was nowhere to be found.

i should probably have a look at their models again in the near future, thanks for reminding me. are you happy with yours (and willing to share which model you use)

1. remember netbooks? yeah so i would love a 10"-ish laptop (with current hardware) for taking notes etc.

why not use a tablet you might ask? i love the handling of a solid, non-detachable keyboard.

2. also a smartphone that reacts quickly to user input with an OS that doesn’t look like the love child of windows mobile (remember that?) and the first iphones. looking at you iOS18 settings menu (among others)

not moving

(advice for falling asleep if you are not tired coming from someone who worked rotating shifts for a decade) like this is not a joke but nothing helps me fall asleep faster than not moving as soon as i lie down.

“oh i can’t fall asleep, i rotate onto my other side” no!

“oh i know turning on my belly might help” no!

“oh i know…” just stop it.

stay put, try to calm your thoughts but do - not - move - any - limps - at - all! no little arm movement, no turning around and very soon that little tingly feel will start to appear letting you know that you’ll soon be fast asleep.

lol i wondered why i looked so wrong but couldn’t put my finger on it. truthfully though: “tee” would be the proper spelling in my native language and i haven’t had a cup of tea yet so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

do you mind me asking about the amount of tea you have used as well as the time you let it sit for? most black tea like darjeeling and blends of breakfast teas taste very similar if brewed too strong (i.e. too much tea or too much time). i like to use about a tee spoon full of tea for a mug size and let it sit for about 3-4min max.
