No need to make it more awkward than it has to be, but the conversation is absolutely necessary if you haven’t had it with him before. Nothing like learning in real-time that Tiffany lied about being a virgin when spots show up on his dick, or that his buddies were full of shit when they said she can’t get pregnant if you have sex just once.

Doesn’t hurt to provide the condoms yourself so you know they’re quality, in-date, and not tampered with.
