  • Well also personally I lost interest because I got sick of Elon time. I’m pretty sure by his estimate we were supposed to have megastructures by now.

It’s also worth noting that reusable rockets are interesting but if they just go up deploy satellite and then come back down that’s not very interesting compared to going to the moon.

I know SpaceX are supposed to be building a lunar lander but we’ve heard nothing about that for years now. Where is it, Artemis III is going to need it in less than a year. Have they even started construction?

  • Passover is a Jewish holiday.

UK is not a Jewish country so the two holidays are unrelated, but obviously a lot of different cultures are going to celebrate the days getting longer again so it’s not surprising that there are multiple different holidays that are all celebrated at the same time. Also of course the Christian church overwrote a lot of pagan holidays so Easter being celebrated when the days get longer tracks even though that’s not actually what the celebration is about.

I’m not really sure what the egg laying rabbit is about though.

  • It is truly a dumb decision because it’s got absolutely nothing to do with the film. It’s just lazy justification for being there, they could have chosen anything.

I think it’s a room temperature superconductor which, ok I can see why that’s useful, but if you’re in a future where you have interstellar starships flying on a semi regular basis to another star system I think you’ve probably already invented room temperature superconductors. In fact they must have room temperature superconductors because their starships are powered by fusion drive which needs electromagnetic confinement in order to work. So at least the first ship would have to already have that tech just to get out there in the first place.
