They are consolidating too much influence with the demise of Twitter unfolding in front of our eyes. The fediverse has nothing to gain from linking with Meta

I think it’s important in the beginning to help generate content and have people stay in the community. Reddit would oftentimes have a subreddit with an interesting topic, but no content which pushes people away almost immediately

The worst thing is growing up and seeing them less and less to the point where once you do end up seeing them, they look WAY older than your mental image of them. Cherish your parents while you have them
