Depends on how you look at it, I guess. Assuming you have a dishwasher, you can just put the containers in there as you use ingredients and be left with a clean counter. Definitely a trade-off involved, though!

This is why we have mise-en-place.
“Weighted” is also a very nice sort, that tends to lift up smaller comms.
The common term is “communities” or “comms”, I think.
I would try to look for servers dedicated to the subject you’re interested in and see what communities they have. Keep in mind that there are much fewer users on Lemmy than Reddit, so there might not be a specialized community for a given subject. And if there is, it might be very small/inactive.
This makes me so proud to be Norwegian! (Which hasn’t been easy lately 😅)
Nah, all the Gen Z programmers I know are fueled exclusively by energy drinks! None of them drink coffee.
The ones my age and older, on the other hand…

World News@lemmy.world•Tesla Sales Down 55% in UK, 58% in Spain, 59% in Germany, 81% in Netherlands, 93% in Norway vs. 2024English
2·2 months agoYeah, the numbers for Norway are when the cars are registered, which happens when they arrive at the dealer. Since Tesla ships their cars in large batches, the numbers are difficult to compare.
I’m (unfortunately) certain that most of the decline in sales will disappear once the first big delivery of 2026 comes ashore.

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•Having the first name of Al must be frustrating as it looks so much like AI.
3·2 months agoA lot of fonts have stylistic alternatives for this, like Inter’s “disambiguation” setting! Not to talk Atkinson Hyperlegible down, it’s a great font!
There is also Hyperlegible Sans, which is a sort of Inter/AH hybrid

World News@lemmy.world•Japan moves for the first time to criminalize paying for sexEnglish
8·3 months agoHaha! Though they were probably more of a patriot than a drunk: Japan is the land of the rising sun, after all!
And by that I mean that the name of the country (in Japanese) literally means “origin of the sun”, and that the emperor is traditionally considered a direct descendant of the sun goddess.

32·3 months agoWe’ve, as most of the world, been drifting right for a few decades unfortunately. The tax I mentioned was one of the main issues in last year’s election even though it affects nearly no one. That’s a sign of a small group gaining control of public discourse, which is not great…

84·3 months agoMy country (Norway) saw a lot of rich people moving to Switzerland because of more advantageous tax rules, so we actually did implement an “exit tax”!
To the surprise of no one, the rich people will not stop whining about it.
I tried, but apparently it wasn’t “second screen” enough.
Signed up when the Apollo app stopped working due to Reddit’s API restrictions.
Depicting Proto-Indo-European speakers as cavemen is certainly a choice!
Yes, we did. But with the current political climate I’m less and less sure that we’ll be able to handle it as well as we did with the oil.
If you want an example of an industry where we didn’t do a great job of spreading the wealth, you can look at our other major export: Salmon.

51·5 months agoI mean, owning a TV doesn’t necessarily mean you use the “tuner” part of it. My TV is only connected to my AppleTV. It is exclusively used for streaming and casting, so pretty much the same use case as I imagine your projector has.
Edit: And gaming! Was so focused on the TV part that I forgot 😅
I love the salmon hat on the orca!

Norwegian here, absolutely hate the stuff! Your description is spot on from my experiences.
