And imagine the best case scenario: you create a free media server for anyone to use. Wanna guess how long it’ll take before you’re out of bandwidth? Video streaming is bandwidth intensive. You’re just gonna give all that out for free? Because remember, if you charge for it and a single copyrighted video is on there, you’re looking at numerous criminal charges for facilitating it.

It’s just not feasible unless you cram it full of ads or neuter it so much it’s worthless. Stop being delusional. If this was on a piracy community I’d be on board because they at least understand that what they are doing isnt legal and would take proper precautions to try and stay under the radar. Not a fan of Melroy(mbin founder). They claim to have been a dev for Lemmy and kbin. Then when they didn’t get the control they wanted, started their own instance. When that didn’t take off, he ranted very publically once again about how the current team he was “working with” sucked and how he was the only true savior of the fediverse. Then he started mbin, which he named after himself(Melroy Bin).

His entire attitude has been “fuck you, I’m taking my ball and going home if you don’t listen to me” from the start.

A coastline absolutely can vanish(submerged) or be against geography, such as rocky cliffs, that is unsuitable. “Coastlines can’t stop existing, only move” is semantic nonesense.

EDIT: for ya downvoters, where’s the coastline on an island that vanishes due to rising sea levels? The Marshall Islands have a max elevation of ~7’ and are already having issues with rising sea levels. When the sea rises above them, where does their coastal ecosystem go?
