I feel so bad for the cast that gave it their all and performed well in a film that sound up being so shit. Frankly the crew too. Imagine living the dream being a camera operator on Star Wars and even though your work is exceptional, the film sucked.

There’s a really good moment in “The Solitary Clone” in the Bad Batch where Cody and his squad reassure a separatist child that they’re here to help before the child’s mother pulls him inside and shuts the door. To me it really illustrates how to the average separatist the republic was always a kind of oppressive empire.
The reason why restaurant tipping is usually percentage based is because the level of service expected scales with the price of the items on the menu. The expectations on servers in fine-dining is a lot higher than a neighbourhood pub and so is the price.
I just want smaller scale stories where the stakes are high not because of some galactic consequence but because we become attached to the characters and their small worlds.
Andor felt tense because the world was small so smaller scale crises seem larger. I felt more when >!Kino said he couldn’t swim!< than I did when the Death Star obliterated everyone on Scarif.
The only reason why I want less Jedi in my star wars is because I want them to feel special. Star Wars has a massive Galaxy where Jedi were a rarity even before the purge so give me more of that. Don’t blow your load every 10 seconds by shoehorning lightsabers into every story.
Give me a film noir set on Nar Shaddaa or a heist set on Alderaan. I’m tired of the overuse of Jedi like I’m tired of the overuse of Tatooine. That planet is supposed to be a backwater with nothing going on hence Obi Wan choosing to hide there but instead we visit it every other Tuesday because executives think people want sand and brown doors.

If it’s a subjective matter then no. Like if you thought Blade Runner sucked I might disagree with your opinion but respect that it’s a matter of taste and so I won’t recommend you see the sequel.
If you’re just using “opinion” as a shield for something objective then yes I will. And I will laugh at you for thinking the sky is falling is a matter of opinion.

The owners know how. They also know that by leaving it there they make extra money on top of sales. They also know that the person getting berated for having it there is the worker who can’t change it.
Sure she had it but her real appeal was the subtlety. She wasn’t some bimbo beach babe she was a doctor, an agent a skeptic and a professional. What the executives wanted was the former because their opinion of their audience was somewhere at the bottom of a bottomless pit.
It’s also worth noting that the presence of a character like Scully on TV resulted in a noticeable uptick in women applying for roles in agencies like the FBI (say what you will about three-letters but having more female representation isn’t making them worse).
The only person who could have played Scully besides Gillian Anderson was Téa Leoni…

Rainbow capitalism at its finest. My girlfriend showed me a clip from an interview with the writers behind The Acolyte saying it’ll be the gayest star wars ever. The shows not over yet so they might be right but so far they had a lesbian couple and couldn’t manage so much as a peck.
It’s not critical to the plot or anything but it demonstrates that there’s some really simple lines Disney still won’t cross when it comes to LGBT representation.
