At some point this will happen with plastics too. Soo much plastic is ending up in nature, with soo much energy ready for the taking. When one fungus or bacteria mutates just right to munch on that feast of plastic, that vast energy source will ensure that organism multiplies rapidly.
And that is when plastic stops beeing useful for many of the tasks we humans use it for. If your plastic container decomposes as rapidly as a cardboard box, it will quickly become much less usefull.
I believe that is very very far from true. Do you have any source on that?
That is not true. If a pedestrian is waiting in front of a zebra crossing, the cars have to stop.
It has been really complicated to teach our kids. Yes kids, the cars have to stop when you wait. No they usually do not actually stop, unless you look like you are going to walk out in front of them. No you don’t walk out in front of them, that would be dangerous. Yes, you have to look like you are going to walk out in front of them, without actually doing it, unless you clearly see they are going to stop. And yes, you still have to be ready to jump back in case they don’t actually stop, but just look like it.
Above is the reality. What it should be like: Kids, you stop and wait at a zebra crossing, then the cars stop on both sides, and then you cross.
Something must up with that, OP tried to hide it.
I know they don’t know this consciously because of their behaviour. If we suppose they were intelligent enough to understand their predicament, I would expect them to protest in some way. For example by breaking out of their captivitity, trying to kill their captors, or even commit suicide.
This is not the behaviour we observe from cows. They seem perfectly happy to bond with and follow along their captors (farmers) right up to the point where they get a bolt through their head.
This - to me - clearly indicates that they are far below an intelligence level where they can understand the living conditions we put them in.
At the point where it consciously knows that we breed and slaughter them for meat. That would be my red line. I don’t know what IQ that equals to.
You fight much bigger problems that others around you. Your way of thinking is definitely not normal, seek diagnosis and help. Life is not supposed to be this complicated mentally.
There is some kind of account-wall on Twitter. I have been hit with a popup asking me to sign up or log in plenty of times, in order to be allowed to read the tweets I was trying to read.
So twitter is not allowing everyone to read the tweets without an account.
Hey, I completely agree with you, in that the most interesting discussions are among groups where I don’t agree with everyone. This is where I learn and grow as a person.
But in saying that, aren’t you also saying that some people, like you and me, would not use such a database to filter out the users we do not agree with?
And would it not be a logical conclusion to make, that people who likes to build and stay in their echo chambers, would not be more inclined to listen to different opinions just because they don’t have a more efficient tool to sort out people they disagree with?
What I am saying is, all information that is technically available will be collected and analysed. Better make a public and open platform showing everything, such that everyone can see exactly what can be collected and surmised from the already public information, than to keep users blind from what information they actually leak publically.

Because it is a platform governed by a 3rd party entity in a foreign country. That platform can ban and censor citizen, based on foreign cultural values and arbitrary rules, limiting citizen access to their own goverments information.
The platform governments choose to use for public information and debate should always provide open and public access to that information.
A government should not require its citizen to create a Twitter account, and thereby requiring them to provide their personal information to a foreign country, just to be part of the public debate and to get public information. That is just plainly wrong.
I was thinking yay that sounds like an awesome data visualization platform, that would be great. Until I got to the “just kidding” part.
You are right, all this information is readily available. And we would be really naive if we think that no one is collecting this yet.
You, or someone else, should build this, such that it is clearly visible for everyone what data is available. And not just visible to the select few who builds their own closed data mining systems.
Every single thing you do here is visible to absolutely everyone. By the very nature of how the fediverse works, where everyone can set up a server and participate, there is no way around it.
What you can do to mitigate, if you really feel it is a problem, is to have multiple accounts for different communities. This will limit how much of a profile other users can build on you.
You could also rotate accounts over time, and create new ones every month, for example.
That’s a true fact!
It is absolutely not illegal. But it is subject to GDPR, so I could send a deletion request to the admin of an instance, and they would have to delete my content on their instance.
You do know that his 40hours a week was a dramatic reduction in working hours compared to the norm at that time?
