I do always assume the best in people; however, there are some actions that are unambiguously shitty. Like walking into a restaurant with a soaking wet kitten and leaving it there without saying anything. No matter which way I Iook at it, there is nothing “innocent” about that.

Well, both of the ones I used (one was second hand) had a very small range for the analog stick. Like it would take a few seconds to turn the character around in a game even if I put the sensitivity up to max. Though if you had good experiences, maybe it wasn’t the controllers fault. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Pretty much; although, (more importantly IMO) it also removes their economic support from oil companies. GHG’s are still produced when obtaining lithium for the batteries, aluminium for the body, etc. There’s as well the break and tyre particles that are still major pollutants regardless… despite all that it’s still better then using a gas engine.

It’s also not easy to convince someone to change their preferred mode of transport and EV’s provide an acceptable (and in many ways superior) alternative. Not to mention taking the bus or riding a bike just isn’t feasible for some people, similarly some places (like Japan with three separate voltage standards) don’t have the necessary infrastructure and capacity to support EV’s.

I live on an island and getting between cities is shitty if you don’t have your own vehicle. The only direct options are a relatively cheap delivery van “bus” or an overpriced actual bus. It’s nicer and easier to take a ferry to the mainland, bus over to another ferry terminal, take the other ferry back to the island and ‘bus’ from there. It costs maybe $10 more and an extra hour or so, but it’s so much better then squishing into one of those vans and breathing peoples farts for six hours.

On a heavier note, my Grandma’s dementia has gotten pretty bad so we can’t spend the night an their home any more.

I wish… I unfortunately have to use deodorant because my natural body odour literally smells like cannabis. I get weird looks sometimes if I forget.
