I love listening to CBC (the Canadian NPR). It makes me feel more connected to my community, keeping up to date with local news I would not otherwise have known.
Also university and coop radio stations are great for discovering new music.

My parents put me in a Cantonese class when I was young. We were learning the numbers 1-5. The teacher asked me to say them out loud. I said “1,2,3,4…hmm”, I forgot 5. “Correct!”. I was confused. Apparently 5 sounds like mmm.

Never gone to a top rope gym, but bouldering gyms you can definitely go to alone. It’s just climbing without ropes, but not very high and with spongy mats.
