Nobody:
Your brain: remember that time you said the wrong word in 1374?
I think you are missing the point. You can declare products you buy as a business expense, as long as they are used mostly for business purposes. In Swedish law, you can’t declare clothing as a business expense because you will wear those clothes in you day to day life. The only exception is clothes that would look silly in day to day, like a clown suit, or mechanic overalls.
The new software design trends is to break free for skeumorphism completely. “tabs” are no longer tabs, they are buttons or whatever. Firefox is doing the same.
Keeps you away from the people you don’t want to be close to. It’s an important distinction.
And I assume you stayed at a nice hotel. There’s absolutely cheaper tropical destinations and alternatives to nice hotels if you just want the tropical beach life. We spent far less than 3k during 1 month in Thailand.
I’m surprised this comment is at the bottom… It’s the correct answer. Companies can offer or donate gift cards to employees (like during a team event). But if they offer cash, that works like a bonus and it’s legally trickier.
Going to a tropical island isn’t extravagant, it’s just expensive. Extravagant is spending a lot of money on something that isn’t worth it, like Disney World.
Ah that’s what you meant. Yeah, definitely. Eat a diversity of foods and you won’t suffer from a specific food being unknowingly bad for us. There’s probably a study out there saying each and every food is bad for us. Like there’s people that vehemently preach that kale is poison.
My understanding that a diverse diet will help you with eating sugar. But eating lead? Heavy metals accumulate in your body and fuck things up in the long term. There’s apparently no healthy dose of lead because of this.
The danger of eating too much sugar is a bit different than the danger of eating too much lead.
The problem is that other chocolates are too cheap and literally use slave labor.
That’s what this company is trying to change.
Tell that to the Maldives
I meant cold tofurky sorry.
It makes sense because we don’t eat enough of the soy and TVP. And we also stuff soy oil is tons of shit. I’m not saying it’s an easy problem to solve, but it all comes down to our over-consumption and refusal to do anything even mildly inconvenient. Eat more whole foods and less meat and a lot of that solves itself.
I’d challenge that. The whole bean is edible by humans. Tofu is literally just the protein of soy beans without the oil and the startch. I’m sure, if we wanted to, we could just make tofu or TVP out of soy meal.
I also just dislike this “it’s a byproduct” argument. It’s like how whey powder is a “byproduct” of of cheese making. It’s not a good argument. We could also do with less soy oil in the world anyway.
Sorry to hear that, friend. Have a good friend who is also dealing with long covid for years. He’s been on different drug trials but nothing had much of an effect. He’s very slowly getting some energy back, but still can’t work a full time job.
